Subject: Very General Question...s

I'm thinking about buying Poser to use for figures in Cinema 4D work. I need 'anatomical accuracy' for some sensuaL/fetish nudity and skin based on real photographs....as much reality as I can get. I have some general advice start-up questions first which I hope someone here can help me with. How do the Poser figures get into Cinema 4D...is there a plug-in that converts Poser files allowing either export from or import into? Can I use either v4 or v5 Poser? Which Poser figures will give me the most flexibility and options to get started? I'd appreciate being pointed to any relevant threads here at Renderosity. I've tried a search or 2 here but can't seem to find something just this basic... Any other advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Best option right now is probably Poser 4 with ProPack. There's a free download of a Cinema4D plugin on the CL web page that will allow you to host Poser scenes in Cinema4D. This way, you can use the animation tools and figures from Poser with the renderern features of C4D, see the use of caustics in the screenshot.

Thanks much - so I guess the really finely detailed images I see here are not possible in C4D??? Is that only available if rendered in Poser? What about the various morphs for Vicki? Rivers

No, all the models should work. It's just that I don't have any of the DAZ figures on my computer right now...

Got it - again thanks very much. I think I'll get it!

I should note that I created the image above from the scratch in maybe five minutes, at most. And I'm out of practice in using C4D.

Keep in mind that the P4 with Propack C4D plugin only works with Cinema4D version 7 (not 6 or 8).

Hi We do brook all that, by making two free plugins for poser 3, 4 and 5, C4D 6, 7 and 8. Or lower not tested :( The CL plugin was to limited to me. Specialy the Poser 5. Look on some others thread here I put comment and the plugins you can get all for free at Mec4D on my gallery have fun Niki.
