Subject: Another Tailor 1.1 question/problem...(BatLab's Pumpkin Outfit)

igohigh ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 11:28 AM · edited Wed, 15 January 2025 at 2:24 PM

Trying to add some standard Vicky2 morphs to BatLab's Pumpkin_TubeP_Top and Pumpkin_Skirt (panties went OK)

The error I get is:
Tag Unkown in Material:0 Line #####
(sorry, didn't note which line)

I removed all materials and tried again, same error?

Any suggestion?
P.S.
Have not been able to locate Ron's tutorial anymore, maybe that has an answer?

Poser 4.03, tailor 1.1,

Strange! -> got the same set up here? Poser4.03 & Tailor1.1... I haven't altered the original CR2s at all....

igohigh ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 12:46 PM

Don't see anything on Ron's site about this error "Tag Unkown in Material:0" But I have seen issues talked about when using Spawned or Custom morphs.....could that be it? I am using the stripped version of Vicky with some spawned morphs I moved over with Morph Manager (they are just a combo of stock morphs however). Or perhaps this could be related to why my Poser will no longer read TIF or GIF files?? Don't know why this is either, it happened ever since I had to reinstall the system but other apps have no issues. First I tried installing Poser4 with just the 4.03 update, then tried adding all updates in sequence but still Poser can't read these formats.... Any insites here??

I've found that sometimes if you save the clothing as a new library item then pull the new item into Tailor, it works. I had to do this for the Are, Elven Sorceress shirt.

igohigh ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 12:50 PM

Thanks Ookami, I'll try that when I get home. I was just wondering if maybe it was a line from the Japanese Poser version and something like that might re-write the CR2..

steveshanks ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 3:05 PM

record the line then using something like editpad (lite is free) go edit/go to and put the line number in, then you can edit that line.....i'd tell you what to edit in there but its so long since i used tailor (and got the error) i forget now but if i recall right you'll see when you get there ;o).....Steve

Here's mine.. sorry for the screwed formatting =(
A question : did you convert your TubeTopDress_bum.jpg to TubeTopDress_bum.bum ? Maybe Tailor chokes on a missing file ?

igohigh ( ) posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 9:34 AM

Dagon: No, I don't save BUMs in my libraries, bloats things up WAY too much. Notice the NO_MAP tag, so there is no error there....

Ookami: That Worked!!! Something about the raw Japanese codeing I guess, but I sure don't see what???

Anyway, New Issue:
I now find that if I sculpture Vicky2's breasts with:
Breastsize6 = .300
BreastNatural = .200
BreastLift = .120
BreastTurnIn = .150

Now spawn that to a morph called Princess and transfer that to a blank Vicky CR2 (including other body parts too)

Now when I Tailor the Spawned morph to BatLab's TubeTop it will not not conform to my new Vicky. Actually the new Morphs in the TubeTop hardly make a change at all.

However if I copy the stock Vicky2 morphs over to the TubeTop and spin the dials I can get a decent fit to my Vicky.

Another thing I did notice however is that out of all the items I Tailored (including other BatLab clothings) the TubeTop was one that came into Tailor with Vicky's breasts pokeing out.

Possible conclusion(s):

  1. The TubeTop was not created on a stock Vicky mesh?
  2. The Tailor issue I have heard about when using Spawned Morphs??

Glad my suggestion worked. I think Tailor is a great program... it's a shame the author really isn't supporting it anymore. Sigh. It still has a bug that messes up clothing you try to morph that does not contain a HIP.

ToolmakerSteve ( ) posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 7:17 PM

igohigh - re Princess morph: 1. You mention chest, but most of the action would be in rCollar and lCollar. 1.1. In Poser, Did you spawn morphs for those body parts as well? 1.2. In Tailor, did you select the morphs in those body parts too? 2. Before transferring morph to dress, confirm that the morph works in the base figure. In Tailor, open up the figure, open up each body part that has a morph you want, select that morph, and change its value to "1". You will immediately see the base figure change. You might try this even before LOADING clothing, so that you can easily see the figure.

igohigh ( ) posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 12:04 PM

ToolmakerSteve: 1.1 = Yup -> full set of morphs, all body parts 1.2 = Yup -> Only Chest, rCollar, lCollar apply to the TubeTop 2. = Yup -> nekkid Vicky 'Princess' works great with all her spawned morphs transfered over using MorphManger. 0~1+ all morphs functioning. I think Ookami may have hit the nail again as the TubTop has no Hip......? hmmmmm But I can Tailor the stock V2 morphs and that works resonably well but still will not actually Conform to my charater......all other BatLab items I tailored work well, just seems to be this mesh..?

ookami ( ) posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 12:14 PM

When you bring the tailored item in... does it appear over the head of the figure?

RHaseltine ( ) posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 1:41 PM

Does the top fit an un-morphed Vic? My recolection is not, in which case it was modelled to fit a modified versio. A useful upgrade for The Tailor (apart from handling shrinking as well as growing morphs) would be the ability to take a morphed figure as the starting point and end with the base figure.

igohigh ( ) posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 7:52 PM

Ookami: No, it goes to Vicky but... RHaseltine: No, weather in Tailor or Poser and un-morphed Vicky has her breasts sticking out. The original TubeTop mesh cleary was not made on a stock Vicky. I was hoping Tailor could fix this as the charater in my scene needs to be full-figured but the Pumpkin Outfit (cute as it may be) was clearly fitted for a flat-chested Vicky. It might still work with the stock morphs, just some extra work...or I might choose another outfit, still trying to decide. Actually my original model calls for a nude Vicky but last time I did such a post ('TouchingUp' in my gallery), I had several calls for the same scene but with clothes so this time I thought I'd do two versions, one rated-R and one rated-G (or maybe PG)....
