Looks good Dave. A few comments - All the boards look exactly the same, try adding some noise with your texture map, and maybe some noise in the bump channel too. If you scale the noise in the same direction as the grain of the wood, it produces a really great effect. Also, the river is almost dead center in the scene, and the railing cuts the view right in half; I would move the camera up and to the right, then angle back down and to left. It looks very tranquil.... I'd agree with Brian on some points. I think it'd look better with a little more variation. The trees in the distance seem to be the same model placed repeatedly. You might consider rotating it a random amount for each placement; this might conceal the fact that it's the same one. Brian's comments about the composition are well taken, and I'd add that sometimes a centered composition can add to a feelilng of sedateness and if that's what you're going for, go for it. That said, I'd agree with his suggestions. Very nice work, though. I really like the mood you've evoked. - Chip
