Subject: I want the straight on Vickie!

OK, I can't believe this but I am actually considering purchising the new Vickie character from Zygote. I need some of you who have actually worked with it to give me the the no crap, low down on her. Basically, is it worth it? What about clothing/conforming figures? Do current ones work, or will I be forced to purchase new ones?? Any help would be great!

I bought Vicky when she first came out, wondering for several days if I would really end up using her or if she would just gather dust on the shelf. After working with her for a while, I can truly say I'm glad I purchased her. She represents a quantum leap forward in realistic posing capabilities... especially facial expressions. On the negative side is the incompatibility with existing Posette conforming clothes, morph targets and textures. These are being/ have been addressed by a combination of the Zygote folks and a whole bunch of talented folks on this forum. My advice is to go for it... I don't think you will regret it.

I'd advise you to get it before the price goes up, not because it's not worth the higher price, but so you can get an add on or two for the same bucks

Her body is a bit ungainly with the broad shoulders and other peculiarites, but she is a great character actress. The fun you can have with the face makes up for the somewhat odd body. She has lots of more realistic facial muscle controls, and the transparent eyes with pupil controls are fun, as are the new morphs. I especially like the new forehead wrinkles. Also, new morphs and fixes for the body are turning up here every day.

Like all of the models for poser; her value is not in what she is by herself; but in what's been added to her. Stuff is turning up very fast for her. I suspect due to the number of vertices available on her. I've seen fixes for most of the complaints I had about her. The only big issue left is clothing. Until we get modellers making clothes for her she will still be a somewhat limited use figure.

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

Now, if you buy the updated version at the lower price, you get all the morph targets with her in one bundle now. I almost wish I had waited, but I thought it was going up to $99 on 4/8. Go for it. I'm discovering so many fun thing about Vickie as I go along. Melanie

I like her tons and there are ways around the clothng for the most part. Big leap up as far as posing and adaptability

Vickie's body is amazing--and very easy to shape with the morphs and scale settings (the biggest improvement over the P4 model) since she takes scaling pretty well, much better than the P3 or P4 models. I'm really happy with Vickie.

You've convinced me...as well as some others, I imagine. Thanks to all who replied! I appreciate it greatly.
