Are these for Poser 4 or 5?

_dodger ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 1:25 PM

The last one may let you know why this is slow going B^)

_dodger ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 1:26 PM

I'm making them for Poser 4. They should work in Poser 5 fine, too, though. I can't test it on it myself, though, so I will have to find a beta tester who is willing to tweak the material settings.

Oh, and these are all non-postworked.

ohh very cool dodger.. Very cool.. and i can help you test it in p5 if you want. Looks like a fantastic job

_dodger ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 7:39 PM

Not ready yet. See message #8 -- that's the 'done' and 'to do' list. This is gonna be one big, complete set.

Lyrra ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 7:48 PM

Gorgeous work. My only concern is how hard its going to be to make these behave in Bryce. (since that is currently my rendering engine of choice) I think the altar is just perfect - grreat lighting from/with the candles - any chance of a big 3 wick pillar candle?

_dodger ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 7:49 PM

Stormrage, if you're willing to also make the materials look the same (or better in the case of raytracables) in return for keeping a copy of the finished set, you've got a deal!

Stormrage ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 8:52 PM

dodger... yep sure am :)

Lyrra, I don't have one of those in the works for this, but I can certainly give thought to making one! Probably a good idea for the freestuff to promote this on release! Stormrage, you have a deal. Email me and I'll send you what's done so far. Some of this involves some CR2 hacks, and thus I'm not sure what's *possible* in P5 -- if everything can't be done, though, I can include a disclaimer, I suppose. I have a melting votive, now!

xenic101 ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 12:47 PM

Lyrra - I've used Dodgers lightsabers in Bryce. Just set the material for the blade like you would for hair. Turn off shadows and use the image texture in the ambient channel. Sometimes I get wierd problems with parts of the blade disappearing but not often.
