file_35087.jpg

What causes this and how can it be fixed? It opened fine after I installed it,Then the next time I started up Poser this is what I got! I have removed and replaced the .OBJ file and the .CR2's/RSR's....and I still get the same error?????

Dagon ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 5:15 AM

you need to delete that file: RuntimeGeometriesrubiosheet_rubio.RSR

CODY ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 5:25 AM

I did and the cr2/rsr...3times...And all 3 times I still get the message.

Check your pathes Cody, RuntimeGeometriesrubiosheet_rubio.obj isn't the same as RuntimeGeometriesrubioSheet_rubio.obj its ok to have the folder names with different case..like this RuntimeGeometriesRubiosheet_rubio.obj but not the obj names...deletein the cr2 or the rsr that sits with it will do no good you need to shut down poser and delete the rsr Dagon mentioned, which you already did so it sounds like the path is wrong..Steve

Well...I got it....I deleted the .rsr in the runtimegeometriesrubio folder... I had only done the ones in the character file!!!...And it now opens... Steve the first thing I did was to check the paths. This has happened a couple times before on other things. And I just deleted the whole folder, But there were several other "Rubio" things in there that I didnt' want to re-install. I would sure like to know what causes this to happen? Thanks guys....

some files corrput the rsr files easier than others, and often a file can corrupt another rsr file...i created a santa outfit for p4 guy a few years ago and it was scatty, kept opening in poser with no hip or a missing leg AND it would corrupt the p4 fem rsr so she opened with a leg on the wrong way LOL...first thing to check with that error is the rsr file, thats one thing i love about the pro pack no rsr's ;o).....Steve

Hmmmmmm....Pro Pack.... No rsr?????...Seems like it would solve the screw-up's. Never gave it a thought...All done with scripting right???

steveshanks ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 9:25 AM

nope it just loads straight from the obj file, (which poser 4 will do anyway if an rsr is missing) so loading takes a little longer......the rsr thumbnail is replaced with a png image.......Steve

CODY ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 9:42 AM

Thats' why when I deleted the rsr in the geomtrie file it reloaded? Heck...Poser always act's weird,I never wanted to complicate it with any "ADD-ON's"...MAYBE IT"S TIME?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Sun, 08 December 2002 at 3:38 PM

Incidently, Poser mostly corrupts the RSR file when it crashes (Gee, Poser crash?). Poser keeps the file open, unlike all the other files it uses.

Never happens to me....;-]
