How do I get a prop (nazi helmet) to conform to micheal when it shows up to the right of the figure list on the bottom of the character window in the object list. It came with the WW2 props for micheal package. The MP40 does the same thing. When adding to the screen it only has one check mark instead of two. But instead of replacing micheal it just wont conform to him. It doesnt even show up on the list of items to conform.

Props do not conform. Only characters (which can also be hats and clothes) can do that. Some props are smart props, meaning they go where they're supposed to, fo r instance on the figures head if it's a hat. But that seems not to be the case here. You will have to position it manually and then parent it to the head once it's in place.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

... if you "save" it back to the library as a "smart prop,"
the next time you load it - it will go in the correct place.

a smart prop? How do I do that? Is there a smart prop folder in the C:/prog/meta/poser/runtime/libraries/props folder?

A "smart prop" is created when:

  1. prop "x" has been "parented" to something.
  2. when "prop x" is saved to the library, Poser will ask if you want to save it as a "smart prop" - and you answer YES

Then, the next time you load "prop x" from the library, Poser will remember the parent and load it in the same place as when it was saved.

Ok?
