No problems so far. The only reason I upgraded was because "Lemurtek" sent me a sample video encoded in "DivX 5." I had been using version 4 until then. DivX has introduced a patch since version 5's release. I believe my copy already has those corrections.

Ah, that's what had me stumped with Lemurtek's Wolfgang. I know you asked me if I could do something with him, but obviously, you've progressed far beyond my current abilities.
I halfway expected to hear LionHeart speak with Ron Perlman's voice, but Sean Connery is also a great choice!
OT, how goes your project to model Mark Stanley's Florence Ambrose?

If you're taking votes for future projects, I'd love to see "Female Hair 1" trans-mapped. Its symmetry is perfect for a character of mine (using one of Lemurtek's newest 2nd Nature figures). "Male Hair 1" is very similar, just shorter. Altering the upcoming male textures to fit Posette's "wig" shouldn't be that difficult for someone of your obvious talents.
Sincerely,
Bill

Hmmm, very tempting! The pop-ups depict the classic heart-shaped face, the Barbie sculpted nose (with a "Nostril Gone" option), and even the traditionally "impossible" fashion doll physique. But here's the crucial question. What about the eyes? The ad shots only depicted almond shaped ones. I saw a morph labeled "EyeBig," but how well does that morph capture the time honored Tezuka design?
For me, that will probably tip the scale for me to purchase or pass. Could you provide a couple of examples? Obviously, you seemed to have bought the character.
Thanks in advance.
Bill

Mazak, I suspect that the $35 model is a fully stand-alone wireframe, requiring no other character for it to work. The one for $21 requires a previous purchase of stephanie. Basically, that version is really a series of morph targets to convert Steph' into a quasi-anime babe.
Then again, I could be totally off my gourd. ;-)

...the Star Wars Modelers' Alliance. Alas, when one links to it lately, all one gets is a message that "they" hope to be back online shortly. That was months and months ago.

Here's a wild idea! What about a "generic" anthropomorphic figure? You know, a human/animal hybrid character. It would be more radical than the simple cat nose and muzzle morph Victoria has. One could morph it between feline and canine features as well as going from a digitigrade to a more human plantigrade posture.
That way, a user could dial from Bastet cat goddess to a feral werewolf.
Is there a large enough market? I don't know, but I'm sure a fair number of Yerf and VCL contributing illustrators might enjoy it.
Sincerely,
Bill

Digitigrade, walking on the toes and not putting any weight on the heels. The misindentified backwards bending "knees" displayed in a lot of "furry" art. Those aren't knees, but rather the ankles and heels of the animal. Yes, even birds. The thighs are there, short, positioned almost horizontally and often hidden by the torso feathers. Have you ever seen a "fryer" without thighs? ;-)
Anthro' illustrators have divided opinions as to what is more appropriate for "hybrid" characters, flat feet similar to a human's (plantigrade), or extended arches with weight bearing toes, the heels held off the ground.
That's why I thought a morph between the two stages would be nice, everyone is happy.
But this is supposed to a 'freebie," I don't think we'll get anything like that.
Hmm, does anyone know what Daz charges for custom modeling? They do offer such a service, but I'm too embarrassed to ask. It might demonstrate the ol' saying, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it."
Sincerely,
Bill

Aiko can already switch genders with the altering of just two dials. So the software does exist. Since Aiko uses the Stephanie geometry which, in turn, uses the Michael 2 geometry, I can't fathom why a similar function can't be applied to a more "normal" physique. Hmm, actually, I can. Such a "universal" character could cut into Daz's profits. If one figure can supply all one's needs, why bother to buy Vicky, Steph', Mike, etc? Sincerely, Bill

Thread: Looking for TOM SERVO and CROW T.ROBOT from MST3K | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I asked the same question in three different forums nearly a month ago. Only yesterday did I receive my first response. Of course, the topic, "Robot roll call!" might have confused readers.
WyldeSnake offered to model them, but requested I send him some images as reference. He didn't state whether he charged for his services or not.
No one has stated if any already exist. Say, are you going to use Joel Robinson or Michael J. Nelson? No, wait! Let me guess. You're going to portray the new DAZ gorilla as Professor BoBo! Everyone's going (Dare I say it?) ape over that primate!

Take two concepts, the hair feature in the upcoming Poser 5 and Lemurtek's Second Nature anthropomorphic characters and combine them! Now we're talking! Well, that is, if one can apply that feature to Poser 4 objects. Something tells me we'll be able to do that.
We'll just have to be careful with the parameters or we'll end up with animated "Chia Pets!" Anybody see the outtake clip depicting a frizzed out Donkey from "Shrek?"

Bill

If you're wondering whether or not you can use Mimic with Guenevere, just click on the link I've provided.
Notice: You will need the DivX 5 decoder to play it. Yes, the official site (www.divx.com) does offer a non-ad-ware version. Just don't select either of the "Pro" versions.
So, does it pass muster?
I used Tonyo1701's bridge station, 3D Gladiator's StarFleet mini-skirt and crowned her with Kozaburo's trans-mapped hair for the Poser 4 male. I lifted a snippet of dialogue from the episode "Mudd's Passion." In the scene, M'Ress has just surcome to the affects of Mudd's love potion crystals. Then she turns to face Scotty. Oh dear! Looks like she'd got a case of "primate fever!"
Guenevere lends herself almost perfectly to the role of M'Ress from the animated Star Trek. Many people who appreciate things anthropomorphic have admitted that the Caitian officer sparked their interest in the anthro' genre.

Bill

Is it Shiro's "Ghost in the Shell"? I'm guessing it's either the scene with the partially dismantled android body in the lab or possibly the final "conrontation" between Major Kusanogi (spelling?) and the "intelligence" that evolved within the 'net. I guess after 5 or 6 years GitS would be considered a classic. Either that or "Akira." Sincerely, Bill

Thread: CL, how about screen shots of the Poser 5 kids ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As has been stated at RDNA, the "official" names for the Poser 5 neutral adult figures are Judy and Don (not to undermine your friendly jibe, UncleBob). I wonder... If the kids are named Penny and Will I'm gonna' fall outa' my chair! Sincerely, Bill

I wonder if Steve Cooper meant to say that the infantile girl is supposed to be named Debbie as opposed to Betty? Debbie the "Bloop" was the simian anthropoid pet adopted by Penny. In reality, of course, it was simply a chimp forced to wear a fur covered hat (suggesting an enlarged cranium) with pointed ears (hmm, primitive ancestors of the Vulcans?). Cartright has stated during interviews that Debbie bit her several times during the series. Ironically, the ape seemed to get along with other cast members. This has been another bit of useless trivia extracted from the archives of Bill Redfern.
