Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

I guess it's kind of ridiculous to even think about it considering the monolithic Adobe and Autodesk provide some of my software through subscription. Shrug.
I never did,
nor will I ever support mobsters.
I boycott Adobe for almost 15 years already and skipped using Autodesk too. They can shunt their subscription systems up their behinds!
My guess: In 10 years people will ask "Auto-what-desk???

@EldritchCellar:
Your'e probably right there, and I'm too paranoid sometimes.
I've already allowed more cookies on my web machine than is healthy... But in case I catch something nasty there, it's easy to revert to a backup of the drive, so no harm is done.
But if that should occur on my workstation, I'ld be f... Thus I always keep them separate.
So Bondware can try to analyze my surfing as much as they try (I keep deleting cookies regularly, and TOR filters out most of malicious scripts from other sites too) It would be all OK if I was at a site that I can really trust, but these have become very rare these days. So I've resorted to the motto "TRUST NO ONE", and I haven't had an infection ever since the infamous "I Love You" worm (I think that was back in 2005 somewhat).
And believe it or not: I don' even use any "antivirus" snake-oil - just the firewall in my router, and a sandbox in case something goes terribly wrong.
But I think we're getting off-topic here, so if you (or anybody else) are interested in discussing this more in-depth, we should either use PM or create a new thread!

Why not blacklist Bondware in your firewall? Or deny Poser general access to the interwebs at all times (my workstation is offline by default anyway)?

@ironsoul:
You may be right, but from the look (the shiny surface of the figure) it looks exactly like a SreeD preview. And it's easy to accidentally switch from OpenGL to SreeD - just one wrong click in the preview port...
But this can't be resurrected with a "factory state" reload because it's saved in Poser's .INI file, not the preferences.
So to go back, right-click somewhere in the preview and in the drop-down menu that appears --> check "OpenGL"

Now you mention it:
Not sure whether WinZip can do this, but 7Zip can also _un_compress .RAR files (though it can't compress to that format because it's proprietary).
But it can handle many more popular formats like .tar and others.
Thread: Poser 11 search tips, tricks etc., I need help here.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To make the difference clear:
So use "DEEP" in order to look for a specific file.
Your rants about the Poser search function I can't comment because I've never used it. I prefer the normal OS search function because it'll also find files which were accidentally placed outside the Poser runtime structures.

Poser compression uses normal gzip compression, so you can compress/uncompress any Poser files with your archiving program of choice (I recommend the free "7zip"). Just make sure to pick the correct filename extension (.obj / .obz) etc.

Thread: Poser 11/Poser 11 Pro: Bug Reports | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had this happening with a couple of Poser scenes (.pz3) made in PP2014.
I didn't find out what was causing it, but I found a work-around:
Unfortunately I didn't have neither time nor motivation to solve this glitch because the work-around was all I needed.
And, I'm no paid dev team member, so it's not >my< job to solve this, but >theirs<.

Dang it!!
And I already wondered why it looked so familiar! (I've made a couple of my own characters using/tweaking this resource) Well spotted Mr. "Hawkeye" from the cellars... ;)

IMVHO she could even pass as 12/13-ish.
Much depends on the body shape and head vs. body size... We live in dangerous times where even shifting pixels around in a computer can get you vanned...
But I would >absolutely< keep that pretty face. So make sure she looks like 21+, make her grow some large boobs and widen her hip so that she can't be mistaken as a teen by even the most malevolent white knight...
? I was sometimes criticized for naming my figure "SASHA-16".
Because some white knights considered that as an implementation of age.
However, it never was:
it was just the year of the figure's prototype (like the Russian do with their tanks and guns: T-80, AK-47, AK-74, asf) Following this ill logic then DAZ's "V4" should be four years of age...
Just an off-topic rant. We live in a hypocritical society where it's ok to show children blown to pieces in action movies, but it could entail possible life imprisonment (in some countries) for rendering children playing on a nudist beach...
I'm really glad that I'm old enough to not having to endure this madness much longer...
Rant finished!!!

I want to thank all of you who helped me in producing this prop, and for giving me helpful hints. Without you this wouldn't be here now!
And now that I know how to upload freebies here, I feel encouraged to publish more.
Take care and stay healthy!

Thread: Which Laptops on the cheap side work best with Poser Pro 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Very brief: >almost NONE<.
Trying to run Poser on a cheapo laptop is like trying to run the CERN "Large Hadron Collider" on a "smart" phone. It >CAN< be done, but it won't work very well...
I always wonder why so many of you folks insist on running Poser on your weak laptops when there are much cheaper - used, but much more powerful - desktops available???
Next question will probably be how to run Poser on Android... ((facepalm))
