Something's wrong with the skin shaders. Those characters keep looking like silicon dolls.

This pose looks terrible. Her neck looks brocken, her shoulders dislocated and the Thigh joint bending is off.

No, it is not the same.
Any human goes through individual personal experiences mixed with even genetic character traits, which is also part of the _inspiration_ .
I don't want a collection by software.
To put a human name as an artist under something, that a machine has spit out is dishonest.
AI "art" is not YOUR art, because legally you* don't own rights to what ever the software created. 
So I might steal this AI inspiration for my own pictures and take credits for them.

* Well, _you_ is not meant as a YOU- you, but for as a general unnamed addressing of users. ;-)

Just to be clear, I am talking about "Generative AI" as theft. I don't have problems with supporting AI tools, that just make difficult tasks easier.

Just ask questions about any AI generated Art, like:
Why that color scheme?
Why that hair style?
What is this expression of your character meaning?
Where is the character focusing on?
Why this picture composition?
ect, ect
Of course, you can generate AI art, but your prompt list might probably fill a whole Din A4 page, if you really like to be in control.
Also keep in mind, that a lot of artistic decisions are made during the process. Very often it feels like an interaction between you as an artist and your work.
difficulties and issues during your creation are part of the process. This all gets lost with an AI-make art button.
this is why I see generative AI as an admittedly impressive tech-demo, but not as art. Given the nature of generative AI it is stolen art as well, because it uses references available from web sources. 
And that's why I am from an artistic point a passionate generative AI hater.

... but good to know the technique on basically how to get a G8 character to accept at G9 hair item. Was wondering why that simple suggestion wasn't a made more obvious.

Just might take a stab at some G9 hair now, it's sale that is.  Still can't do dForce hair w/o going through Blender or ZBrush. Have the software; it's a wetware issue, i.e. haven't learned them. On the list, but time keeps on keepin' on.

I suspect the file size ballooning is an issue of morphs. That's why I do separate FBX exports. I'll know more when I get some G9 hair.

In DS4 a figure is a fully welded mesh and a skeleton made from a collection of bones, the root node of the skeleton is parented to the mesh, so move the mesh and the skeleton moves with it, move a bone and nothing happens to the mesh, that's what the WM's are for. Now because the mesh is basically the root node of a figure it means all morphs and pose controls have to be located there as well, so in DS4 every morph is an FBM wether it moves one vertex or every vertex.

That is what I refer to as the Genesis system and it's the only system DS4 has, so if it comes through an import plugin then it has to be converted to that system, and yes that includes Poser content.

Dawn 2 is out.
I've never liked the first Dawn, but Dawn 2 looks indeed very promising.

Two Poser selling points:
Morph Brush with its HD capabilities and Parameter Dependencies editor.

In fact, I considered Alyson as one of the worst "newer" Poser figures and I have never seen any potential in her though I've never tried to work on her weight maps.
although you've might done a great job on her, Arms and elbows still look terrible. Expressions are decent.

Main issue is that DAZ have a strict "no attacks" policy on the forums.

The company, it's staff, the forum staff, the content creaters and even the user base is covered by this.

So you can't heavilly crit them, slag them off, make them look bad, or even make them look stupid.

Before you ask, yep I've had thousands of posts deleted over there, and for all of the above, as a result I'm probably going to be one of a small group, who are "Pre Moderated" on a permanent basis.

However:
Speaking your mind is not, what a forum is for. Not just the DAZ forums over there, but also here. Just got my post deleted.  

I opened a support ticket, they changed my offline duration to 1 year or something to help keep this from happening again.

 I heartily recommend staying away from DA forums - It's a cesspool.
