It really is quite annoying and takes away from the whole spirit of the 'artist' blog.

Thanks for letting me know. I just don't know what it is with me and "older" stuff but I just love them!
Thread: Whats your favorite/most useful freebie? | Forum: Freestuff
I think that it was really great that I was able to download VUE as a personal limited edition. I think that that program is great and I like it so much that I'm going to actually buy a copy of it - it is on my wish list.
The program makes for great scenes and I can make my own objects and import them into and use them in the scenes that I create.
The download took forever but it worked!
I could spend hours on this program (and I have - LOL!)

I also downloaded it myself. I'm more of a gothic-type renderer but I get the feeling that this will come in handy!
Thread: Bryce 7 PLE? | Forum: Bryce
Quote - Instancing (as well as a lot of the new features) is only available in B7 Pro.
There used to be a comparison chart somewhere but I can't seem to find it, maybe someone else has the link...
Yes I did see the comparison chart (forgot where I saw it at) and it basically said the same thing. Oh well I'll still install it just to see if there's anything new in it - kind of disappointed though but I can still use the replicate option on my older version.
Thread: Texture problems in Bryce 4... and I'm stumped | Forum: Bryce
Quote - Sorry Spike - no it doesn't... I downloaded UV Mapper, and can't for out for the life of me how to use it... I load up a OBJ file from Rhino into UV Mapper, and get a VERY VERY VERY flat image of lots of lines which goes on outside the extents of my monitor (which is in 1280x1024 anyway) tracy-ann
I have to tell you that I felt the very same way when I first started UV Mapper! But I took my time - it can get quite tedious - BUT after using the program for a while you will find that you will be able to make some interesting-looking maps for your objects! It just takes some time and patience.

Actually it does make a lot of sense because I have been using UV Mapper myself to map some rose objects that I made with Plant Studio and it does make all the difference!
I'm attaching a copy of one of my rose samples which I used in conjunction with the UV Mapper - although the rose object isn't completely mapped you can see where it does make the rose object look more realistic.

I have to "second" that! Free hair is always welcomed - especially when it can be used with V3! Went to download it and forgot that I was also a member of Deviant art!

I can't wait to try it out!
Thread: Stained Glass Window Prop | Forum: Freestuff
Quote - Fully textured window prop. Wall is not included
Crazy question but will I be able to use this in another program - like Daz Studio? or maybe even Bryce?
Thread: Plant Studio and Vue | Forum: Vue
Quote - I use Plant Studio 2.1 and it works well with Vue. I find the best way is to export from PlantStudio in OBJ format with option "Group by whole plant" and "write colors" selected. This keeps the number of objects in the scene to a minimum (about 8 by plant)
I also have to agree that my plantstudio plants import well from PlantStudio to Vue! Actually I do the same thing as the above instructions say and they import quite nicely!
Thread: FreeLeggings for CLOTHER G2 | Forum: Freestuff
I always wondered what this Clother program was that everyone was talking about! It's a great program and I have downloaded the demo version but the actual version is on my wishlist!
Thread: Temple | Forum: Freestuff
It looks great! I'm also glad you have an .obj version of it so now I can use it in Bryce and Vue!
Thread: January 2010 Bryce Challenge - Wish You Were Here - VOTE HERE!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Darn! I did that "click" thing - you know where you click on the picture and then vote for it. But if I am allowed I'll cast my vote here
