I don't know for Poser5 but I had tested this on my old PC (died 2 months ago): an installed Poser6 folder can be copied and run from any new location.

That confirms that the actual "Poser 7 files" is empty, no structure at all. Maybe from a backup?
Surprising:
- your "runtiime" folder: weird, non-standard name or some error while using either the Windows file explorer or the Mac's finder?
- "Poser 7 files" appearing twice
If you can't correct using the Library Window, you may check a file named "LibraryPrefs.xml". Its place depends on the OS (Mac? Windows?) and on your version of Poser

I have seen that bug, in Poser12 probably. Indeed, from time to time, Poser seem to look for something in the whole list of runtimes, that stops and creates an empty Image_map node, on which you may re-drop the same bitmap.
Not sure it subsists in Poser 13
RuntimeDNA was fantastic at the time, luckily there are a few awesome experts on board here.

To add a runtime folder, it needs the correct structure, or it will appear empty.
Example:
I have to add the Antonia folder to add a new Runtime, under this name,
That being said, even if you add something from one runtime, Poser will always automatically scan each runtime registered before the one in use to load the resources it needs (it can be an external geometry, the bitmaps, or scripts that are referenced in the Poser file.
Example with Erogenesis' Combo character: you load a character, and a choice appear because of its internal content:
{
version
{
number 10.04
build 28925
runPythonScript ":Runtime:Libraries:Character:Evolution:Figures:Characters:load_current_version.py"
runPythonScript ":Runtime:Libraries:Character:Evolution:Figures:Combo Characters:load_Character - Kaylee.py"
}
}

Speaking of AO and Surperfly: excerpt from the page:
https://www.posersoftware.com/documentation/13/HTML/index.htm#t=Poser_Reference_Manual%2FMaterials%2FNodes-Cycles%2FShader.htm
The current implementation of OptiX does not support the use of the AmbientOcclusion node in shaders. If you need to use Ambient Occlusion you will need to use a different hardware rendering option.

I wonder: are you trying to apply material from the library to your character? if that's the case, looks like you're using the wrong material

More than 4 years ago, Caisson published this thread:

In which you will learn some great examples of the Principled BSDF node, such as this:

Hello (EZSkin) World
Here is another correction of the PrincipledBSDF-version plugin, for EZSkin.
Still downloadable at the same address:
https://kdrive.digital-paradize.com/app/share/116364/7a305ed4-4dec-48a5-a61e-58ab586e9002
- new: the possibility to tell EZSkin that the Bump maps are replaced with Normal maps (link to the Normal entry of the PrincipledBSDF node)
- possibility to ignore the link between the RedFilter and the Clearcoat entry of the PrincipledBSDF node, as well as the Clearcoat Normal entry.
At first, I added the latter based on this excerpt :
Ref: https://www.renderosity.com/forums/comments/4460954/permalink
I am still not sure how I have to manage that link, so that even though it's actually added by default, checking the corresponding option will ignore it. The reason is that I may have misunderstood its purpose

Hi
Note to each person who have downloaded the PBSDF-version of EZSkin: please, re-download it from the same link:
https://kdrive.digital-paradize.com/app/share/116364/7a305ed4-4dec-48a5-a61e-58ab586e9002
I've found an error (on "tear" and "invisible"), which is now corrected.
Thank you,

Thank youYou've been really busy Phil, thank you! I'll have to check this new plugin out. In the meantime, I've updated the zip pakedge on my site to your latest version and placed this plugin into the custom shaders folder for anyone who newly downloads EZSkin.
Oh since I've retired at April, 1st of 2024 I've got plenty of time

The new EZSkin V3.4 is here:
https://kdrive.digital-paradize.com/app/share/116364/c9c3812b-e75f-42c0-842f-ca98da3a412c
The new plugin, based on PrincipledBSDF is here:
https://kdrive.digital-paradize.com/app/share/116364/7a305ed4-4dec-48a5-a61e-58ab586e9002
Some words of explanation: most settings are based on my humble experience. For example, in the common settings below:
- Bump's distance and strength are the one that works for my Vic4's. I have often seem them interchanged in many Blender examples
- in the same bloc, SSS anisotropy and Anisotropic are new params for the PBSDF node, and I like those as is, not sure it's correct
- the new EZSkin saves the path you have set: click OK in this dialog and exit EZSkin => definitely saved
- the nipples part have their own setting, so that one can set a different roughness (not sure that they are as glossy as normal skin), same for the face and the lips
-all the parameters lie in that huge dialog box, other settings (from the other buttons on the main dialog box) are ignored
- to active the blush: replace "face" by "face_blush" and "skin" "skin blush" here:
Remember that each section can be displayed independently using the top selector.
One last word with Poser 13: even though EZSkin works well in both the Pose Room and the Material Room, avoid its use in the Material Room. Quite often Poser truly HATES when a Python script modifies the organization of the nodes. Changing values aren't a problem but adding/removing nodes is often a no-go and ends up in an instant crash, especially when the currently selected material is updated by the script.
Once again: it's actually to be used with bump maps (or the generated pores, the code being the one in use by EZSkin since long ago). A version that can handle Normal map is on the way.
I remain opened to any suggestion (defaults values, other internal settings to offer as input of the compounds, etc.

HI everybody, especially the EZSkin users...
In April, 2023, Ghostship created a thread dedicated to human skin, based on Cycles SSS: here.
For my needs, I have written an EZSkin plugin that is using more or less what were shared in the said thread, I mean: using the famous PrincipledBSDF node.
Actually, it handles all parts for Vic4's and Sasha's, even though the skin parts may be used for all other characters I think. Furthermore, blush can be added (face and ears), and even an hypno effect if you have the corresponding iris bitmap (here, it comes from RebelMomy's Holly)
The material for the teeth is based on what Ghostship showed us.
If you're interested, I'd be happy to share. You will just need an update for EZSkin, of course compatible with the existing plugins.
Typical result:
I've put compound nodes everywhere, as I do love simple material setups with just the right parameters visible.
Note that actually it relies on Bump maps, but I have some characters that have none, but rather a normal map, and I'm going to prepare a version for those.
