Thanks for replying. I have tried walk designer and If memory serves correct, It wont work with a vehicle. someone had suggested parenting the car to a figure and hiding the figure. well I tried that and the car literally walked the path. maybe you have a better solution? thanks.
Thread: How can one animate a car along a motion path? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This does come with quirks, for want of a better word. for instance, the object does follow the path you draw . but too much in my opinion. unless it is a prob on my end, a vehicle does not travel the path smoothly. instead it follows EVERY little jagged edge of
the line. ??????
Another BIG issue I have is, after having removed the hansel and gretel folders and trash them, I get a window prompting me to "locate cameras and lights" every time I start Poser.
Ockham, any help here?

Thread: Been there already | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Interesting topic. I, having spent probably WAY too much time reading forums, have been mildly frustrated trying to find a potential answer to my question. for the record, I do make an
effort to search thoroughly but while doing so come across what seems like several
variations of: "can anybody HELP me?" or "newbie with question...". the result being my
having to spend hours poring through irrelevant posts to find an answer. I suspect some who
post a question (that may or may not have been answered already) give up after spending a lengthy amount of time digging through the forums and go ahead and post.
This in itself can add to the problem, however, by submitting a question already
answered. therefore making the forums painfully and unecessarily lengthy.
Having said that-and I believe I've mentioned this before-It is equally frustrating when I post a question and the respondent well meaningly gives an answer that is the equivalent of giving a blind person a book to read. It is my opinion that one should safely assume the OP knows the very basics of the subject, unless the OP states otherwise, therefore saving each others'
time. I am always grateful (and let it be known ) for any responses I receive, whether helpful or not. but by following the above example, perhaps everyone can benefit.
my two(and a half) cents......... Ed

Thanks. sounds helpful. I'll try and give it a shot, although I don't know anything at all on how to utilize a script. I don't understand the procedure. any step by step on this? I'm assuming i take the .py scripts and drop them in the python scripts folder in my runtime. after that..........?
thanks a millon for any more help on this, I really want to pull this off. Eddie

And might I add, no such thing as a dumb question.thats why we have forums. to share our
learned knowledge and insight.

Thread: Anyone know where I can find of a fully posable reallistic T Rex? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah Gareee. saw that morph pack. pretty cool. i'm just doing the math here and wondering if I can spend the 50 to 60 bucks for the Rex and the texture and morph packs. tight budget.
cool T Rex by the way. Ed

Thanks everyone for the replies. Rawnrr, those are great examples. is that the DAZ Rex? and whose textures were used? thanks , Ed
yes, almost forgot to mention Colins' Rex. that looks fine, Colin . having not growing up in the Jurassic period and lacking a degree in archeology, i definitely am not an expert on how a T Rex
should look like. having said that, the texture on your Rex, in my opinion, looks a little too clean.
giving me the impression of a 'plastic' look. i'm sure many would disagree, and thats fine. Its just a matter of my own personal taste, thats all.
Thread: Why do we not have an established library of motion files by now? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Holly- totally agree with you on the part about creating everyday moves. out of the non-cleaned up bvh files Ihave,I would say 90% are fight/kick/stagger/falldown/dance moves.
tvining-great idea..great idea...
O.K. everyone, Im passing around the hat, lets all pitch in and get that Optitrack system.
don't be cheap, now. look under your cushions, your car seats, your swear jars......
that last one is a freekin goldmine if you've been as frustrated at trying to create motions by scratch as I am.......
......and ya know something? after seeing that it can take a week to render a five min video
after spending HOW LONG? to set up your motions?
damn it man.......................ok lets see..........(mumbles to himself)............15 cents from top of clothes dryer.........................................(drops in jar)...........junior want miss this ............(sneaks
kids' piggy bank change).....I swear I'll pay it back.....OK, lets see, four dollars and fifteen cents....
....Now all I need is four thousand nine hundred ninety-five dollars and eighty five cents!!!!!
