Thanks for this info. I signed up, but did not receive a September newsletter and thus have no coupon. Can anyone send me that coupon info?

I don't seem to be getting this newsletter although I have been a customer for many years, and I can't find any place on the website to subscribe to the newsletter. Anyone know where I can do this?

I was a Poser user from Poser 3 through Poser 11 and always found the interface very easy to use, so I held off from using Daz Studio for a long time (and was very frustrated with the interface each time I did try it, because it didn't seem intuitive at all).  But  after seeing so many attractive Daz characters, starting with Genesis 3 and even more so with Genesis 8 and 8.1, I became frustrated with the much poorer quality of the figures for Poser and the fact that very few vendors were supporting Poser figures any more, and I  finally started using Daz Studio instead of Poser.  As a result, I didn't upgrade from Poser 11 to Poser 12.  If someone came up with a version of Poser that could use the newer Daz figures natively, without complicated work-arounds, I would be happy to buy it, because I still prefer Poser's interface to Daz Studio's, but I don't think this is very likely.

I strongly agree.  I have not taken advantage of any of the recent BOGO sales because I often have some of the gift items and many of the others do not interest me in the least.  If I could choose my gift, I would definitely interested in BOGO sales like the ones we used to have here.

I have to agree with the previous posts about how uninteresting most BOGO offers are if the buyer cannot choose which BOGO gift he or she wants.  I have also passed on all BOGO offers if  they only offer a random gift rather than allowing me to choose one (as some sellers did in the past), because I am generally interested in less than half of the gift items, often because I already have several of them.  If Renderosity and the sellers would permit us to choose our gift, I would frequently take advantage of BOGO offers.

Thanks, but I was hoping that someone had written a tutorial for experienced Poser users rather than for complete newcomers to 3D. I want to start creating scenes and rendering rather than spending hours watching tutorials, but I guess I will have to.

First of all, congratulations to the artists for coming up with such a great new Poser character. While I have always loved working with V4, she does have her limitations and for years I have been hoping for a new female Poser character, only to be disappointed by ones like Antonia, Dawn, and Pauline. Project Evolution was a step in the right direction but received very little support from other artists in terms of clothing, poses and morphs. So I am really glad that a number of very talented artists are standing behind LaFemme. I don't understand all the complaints about the need to purchase something else in order to be able to get the free LaFemme download. Surely there is something else on Renderosity - including many $3.50 items - that can be added to the shopping cart in order to get LaFemme. In my case I purchased one of Tempesta3d's LaFemme characters because I was so eager to try LaFemme out and wanted a high-quality texture to go with her. Here is my first attempt at a LaFemme render using Foxy (a quick effort done late at night right after I got LaFemme): LaFemme in the Library Caution: Nudity Advisory.

My mistake - I failed to read the small print and thus did not notice that the coupon was not valid on sale items. I have used my Prime coupon instead. Thanks for the quick reply.

I wrote to the Site Administrators, and jenn replied:

"The coupon is set to work on sale and clearance items, provided the product page has the green coupon icon indicating that the vendor accepts coupons being used on their products. If the vendor does not allow coupons, whether the product is on sale or in clearance does not matter."

Here is my reply to Jenn:

"Thank you. That explains the problem I looked at all the clearance items in my wishlist and saw that all of them had yellow/orange flags, saying that the vendor does not participate in all coupons. I then went to the clearance section of the Marketplace and checked the first dozen items, and all of them also had yellow flags. This makes me wonder if there are any clearance items in existence with green flags. The default setting for a clearance item certainly seems to be yellow, and of course we have no way of knowing which coupons a vendor will accept, if any. I certainly miss the old system, where coupons would always apply to clearance items (except when they were on sale for $3.50 a few times). That encouraged me to try some clearance items with high discounts after applying a large coupon. But I also miss vendor sales in general, where coupons would also apply. Now all we get are items going on sale as Prime Flash or "Gift of Savings" (also Prime Classic) items, where no coupons apply. To me coupons have almost become worthless except for the occasional new product that interests me, and as a Poser user there are not very many of those anymore.

I'm Prime, and I was wondering if that is the reason why the coupon is not working on clearance items, since Prime members get a discount on clearance items. But if that is the reason why the coupon is not working, it should be stated somewhere. All I saw in the e-mail was that the coupon is valid on sale and clearance items.

It would be nice if the sales staff could either fix this problem or give us a reason why the coupon will not work on clearance items despite the e-mail having said it would.

According to the e-mail, the NewSubscribeDec2015 coupon is valid on sale and clearance items, but it is not working for any of the clearance items in my cart, just on the sale items. The whole reason I put most of the clearance items from my wishlist into the cart was to take advantage of the coupon. Why is the coupon not working on clearance items?

Out of curiosity, why don't coupons apply to the current "Last Chance to Save" sale?  Coupons worked fine when I bought items at these prices during the individual 4.99/5.99/6.99 sales, and in many cases I would not have bought the items without using a coupon because the discount for them was not particularly high.  I had just filled up my shopping cart for this sale when I noticed that coupons do not apply, so I have been busy emptying it again because I had already purchased the items I really wanted in the previous sales. I was only planning some possible additional purchases if I could get them at a very good discount using a one-time coupon that I had been saving, since these items are not high-priority purchases for me. Without the coupon discount, most of the items are not particularly interesting to me now (some of the discounts are actually rather small).

I did put the coupon in my cart and pushed the "Apply Coupon" button, hoping that this would mean that the coupon would count even though it did not give me any discount (which I knew would be the case).  I had hoped that the coupon would register as being used even without generating a discount, because I know that prime items can be used to make the total amount of an order eligible for coupon use, but I did not realize that in order for the coupon to be counted, I had to put at least one non-prime item in the cart even though the total amount of the order was already above $16.
