I have barely started using PP12 and I was having no problem exporting images in PP11. I imagine that sometimes bugs are caused by issues outside of Poser which interfere with Poser. Dell did an update and the problem exporting images seemed to be fixed after that. I'm not a great historian when it comes to problems with my computer.

OK. This is an update to my 1/13 post. I tried to import and export images, and it seems to be working fine now. Don't ask me why.

I reinstalled p12 (12/22 update). I removed existing preferences. The document window and other palettes seem to float and dock appropriately. However, when I try to export an image, I get the same file with a black image which is only 10 kb where my other images are typically 150 kb. I don't think that I was having this problem before I installed the 12/22 update. I know that I have exported images successfully using p12. I also don't have this problem with p11.3 which I still have installed. I have a Dell XPS 8930 with an NVidia GeForce GTX 1050.

When I dock the parameter palette, it blocks a portion of the document window rather than decreasing the document window to make space for itself which is what I see in 11.3.
This is an example of the exported image that I get. I simply took an image, imported it and then exported it. The exported file is 10 kb.

When I export an image, it is truncated, completely black, and only about 12 kb rather than about 150 kb for the correct exported image. When I dock the document window, I get a message in document window that the scene palette is restrained and cannot be changed numerically. I can resize it with the mouse, but if I try to export an image after docking it and resizing it with the mouse, I get the same black image. The docking behavior for the palettes acts like it is reversed. The document window doesn't want to dock when I move it around and is squeezed off when it does dock. The other palettes want to dock immediately when I move them at all and take up half the page when docked. If the document window is docked, the other palette will take up more space than the document window when I dock it.
I recently emailed another problem to the forum. I couldn't find my animation palette. It didn't show up in the pose window room, but I could see it in the material room. Turns out, it was hiding behind the document window in the pose room. I moved the animation palette to the front, fixing that problem, but now I have this problem.

It was already unchecked. The only difference that I noticed between 12 and 11.3 in General Preferences-Render was that Maxed Cache Renders was 200 for 12 and 100 for 11.3. I tried changing 200 to 100, but that did not solve the problem.
What I notice is that the document window is docking like the other palettes and the other palettes are docking like document window. So when docked, document window is squeezed off and the other palettes are eager to dock and take up half the page when they do.

This is a follow-up to the first email. I think the problem might be related to the problem with the dock and floating panel option. I ran 12 and 11.3 simultaneously. With 12, when I dock the document window, it virtually jumps off the page and become very constrained. I can float it and drag it to full size, but when I dock it, it again jumps into this very constrained mode. This seems to be related to the other palettes like parameters wanting to dock immediately if I move them.
So, if there isn't an easy answer to this, I will probably reinstall Poser 12. I think that I probably did something unbeknownst to me that seriously screwed it up.

Problem solved. In the Pose Room, it was hidden behind the document window which is now docked. Thanks for your prompt assistance.

The Animation Control Panel does not open in the Pose Room. The drop-down says that it is open, but it is only visible in the Material Room. It doesn't matter whether or not the panel is docked or not. I have tried using CTL-SHFT-P to open it and that is not different. This was not an issue until I installed the last update which I believe was the 12/22 one. I still have Poser Pro 11.3 on my computer and the Animation Control Panel appears in that program. I have also noticed that windowed panels are very eager to dock if I try to move them. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks.
Thread: dson after uninstal giving errors | Forum: Poser 12
Well, I didn't actually uninstall dson. So now I have and the problem has been solved. Tada. Sorry. The light issue was that light sets accumulated without replacing the old light set. Now, I am hitting the replace button in library. Actually, I don't mind doing that. So, I'm OK. Find somebody else who's ranting and raving. Thank you.

OK. I did the Structure addon and the Firecircle edit. I still get the same error message.
I don't know anything about writing code. I had to get a code writing program in order to complete these two steps. I don't think that when I buy a program, I should have to learn code and be able to edit the program in order to be able to effectively use it. You should make the correction yourself and issue and update. And you shouldn't release a program before it has been thoroughly tested. Was it really a good idea to edit Python if it made dson unusable. I was hoping that you were working towards a product more compatible with genesis characters. OK. Now, I have to figure out how to deal with the Lights issue.
