For some V4 morphs made by content creators you have to apply the V4 Morph++ first before you apply the V4 morphs from the content creators.
Thread: Why isn't DAZ Studio as popular as Poser even though it's better than Poser | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Oh God!!! Not another this versus that post!!! (roll eyes). There is no one program fits all, so starting a "this versus that" post just goes in circles.
I prefer DS too but if I want to see improvements to DS then I would post to DAZ3D's forum, not here. So if you really really want to see improvements to Poser then make a post at SmithMicro's forum. I'm sure they would listen to any reasonable requests.
Please try to keep this forum to help topics or sharing tips and tricks.
Thread: Suggestion for "Regional" area in Forums | Forum: Suggestion Box
Quote - I actually like this idea as well. When I upload an image it goes into 3 areas automatically. My Gallery, Whatever gallery I chose to upload to, and Recent posts on the main gallery page. I see this as being VERY viable.
Hi Drgnmztr, I think you've gone off track a little. This is about regional area in "Forums", not in the Gallery.
Regional areas for the Forum sound interesting and the idea definitely has merit but could be a little tough to implement. Don't forget that in each region there are many nations speaking and writing other languages besides English (or USA English. LOL).
Thread: Better file structure PLEASE!!!!!!! | Forum: The MarketPlace Wishing Well
Quote - I already see this in freestuff. I have a folder on my hard drive that I put them in until I have time to go thru them and either fix or delete.
Ditto.....Unfortunately one can't complain too much about freestuff. Sigh! Just got to grin and bear it.

Maybe Renderosity should develop a quality assurance stamp system. The QA stamp will indicate that Poser folder/file structure has been strictly followed, file paths have been checked AND.....(wait for it).....all the files required for the product are included in the zip file (I just remembered that last one. LOL).
Thread: Better file structure PLEASE!!!!!!! | Forum: The MarketPlace Wishing Well
I know this may seem like a DS problem and Poser content creators may easily dismiss it. But even though Poser is now more accommodating, it does still slow down Poser to load the files.
I note content vendors place "Not tested in Daz Studio", however they should also add "Poser folder structure not strictly followed" and/or "File paths not checked"...(pause for effect)......I wonder how many sales they'll get if they added those little bits of truth. ;-)

Quote - obj files in the same folder as the cr2 or pp2 are perfectly valid , and done a lot by bmith micro / content paradise. Its easily fixed if you want them in the deometries folder.
Easily fixed in Poser maybe but in DS it's a pain. If you rename or move the library folder that has both the CR2 and OBJ in it then DS freaks because the file path is no longer valid.
Same problem for renaming or moving a folder that has both the PMD and CR2. Pity the Poser developers didn't think to create a separate "Morphs" folder when they developed the PMD. I notice some content creators already make their own "Morphs" folder for their Inj/Rem and Hide/Show scripts as referenced by the PZ2 files. This is wonderful, very considerate and greatly appreciated.
With the way Poser is now that can accommodate files in wrong location better than DS, I fear it will lead to lazyness by content creators (both free and for sale) to just throw all the files in one folder and let the user / purchaser sort it out.

Quote - I'm tired of unzipping products and getting "Do you want to overwrite "ReadMe.txt ?" NO, I don't! I also don't want to find it in the Character folder somewhere, nor do I want to find OBJs or textures there. There are so many tools out there to package this stuff - why don't we have any standards?
I forgot about that one and it's a major headache item too. Especially if the readme file has the link to the bonus zip that some vendors offer. God knows how many bonuses I missed out on because of overwriting readme's.
Thread: Any way to Keep character from going underground When Using Puppeteer? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I don't do much animation but I do know Daz Studio doesn't have any sort of collision detection.
Therefore you may have to tediously adjust each frame.

Check Renderosity's Freestuff is always a good place to start.

Thread: Is there an easy way to layout bunch of( realistically) clutter in a scene? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - Ask and yee shall receive! LINK
Works in DS2 and DS3 and works with figures as well as props! Just went in my cart! I'll post my results on this later.
Just bought it! Thanks! It's nice to have it back again.
Thread: Help With DAZ STUDIO 3 and the Free Models | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - OK found the folder - thanks for the tip.
As far as the rest of the tips I haven't found them yet - any clues for search words?
I have tried:
v4.2 skins
v4.2 textures
v4.2 mats
Your search query is too specific. These sites have very general search engines. Just type in Victoria. Then spend a few hours sifting through the results. It's a pain I know but it guarantees you eventually find something.
Thread: Help With DAZ STUDIO 3 and the Free Models | Forum: DAZ|Studio
In Daz Studio you should look under the "Pose" folder. There should be some skins already there for Victoria 4 without painted clothes.
Renderosity -> Free Stuff, there are some V4 morphs with skins. You will have to do a "search" to find them.
Also I visit www.sharecg.com and pick up a lot of free stuff there. You need a open account to download. Don't worry it's free.
Daz's own Free Vault = http://free.daz3d.com .They don't make it easy to find their Free Vault, which is really strange considering they put a free item on the market at least once per month.
Also check out Renderosity -> Market Place -> Poser or Daz Studio department -> Clearances. You can pick up some great low prices stuff in their clearances section.
Important Note = A lot of free stuff don't play nice in Daz Studio because they were originally written for Poser. You may have to get your hands dirty and edit their files. Not for the faint hearted.

Seen Avatar at the cinema 4 times and on DVD 6 times. True.
I'm worried about Avatar 2 which James said maybe set underwater. The underwater city in Star Wars was interesting but not spectacular. Underwater scenes are the most difficult to create to hold your interest long. It's basically a desert down there with islands of life. Watch any nature documentary.
Avatar 3 maybe set on the other planets near Pandora. Now that would be very interesting.
I wonder if the Earthers are going to return and just nuke the Na'vi from orbit. Game over man.

Daz Studio 2 did have a Replicate plugin sold separately. It works for Prop (PP2) files only. But it wasn't updated for Daz Studio 3 and it looks like it has been removed from Daz market place. It would be nice to have it back again.
