I once told a telemarketeer who was wanting me to switch long distance companies that I didn't have a phone, and they said, oh, I'm sorry, I guess we can't help you then. On the other hand, I've always been able to connect to a real person at the I.R.S. in less than 4 minutes, 3 times in a row, on different days of the week. They are a kinder, gentler, more customer friendly institution now, really. I'm not kidding.

well... maybe they consider this topic to fall under the "improvments" umbrella markschum, I used to comment, nicely mind you, that the order was incorrect, after so many lame excuses and flat out rudeness from waiters/waitress, I guess I became jaded along the way and just don't say anything. On one occassion, I asked the waiter to get the manager, both of them seemed intent on getting me to accept the wrong order instead of getting me the right item.

well... if I had posted this in the poser forum, it would have been moved to this forum.... C&D anyone? GASP!!! Kendra Your absolutely right, there are terrible customers, but you said you look people in the eye and say HELLO, which makes you one of the 'good' customer service folks who'd get a good tip (if you were a waitress :-)

Okay, Applebees I like, the new one in Covington is always crammed. Of course it's also the only sit-down family restaurant in town that isn't fast food or Teriyaki. I also agree about the Mexican Restaurants. I never complain about the Mexican works because, well, they actually work. And AM/PM, folks, let me tell you, you know why I eat their food for breakfast? Because it's there and on time and never "out of". Home Depot.... arghhh!!!

Actualy, when I do go out in public, I have a very positive attitude and I'm very likable. When people do make mistakes, but owe up to it and apologize, or make things right, I am happy to leave a huge tip. Fast food joints like McD's, KFC, Taco Bell, these are places where I pay at the counter, sit down, eat, pick up after myself and leave, a tip seems out of place and nobody I know tips at these places. Sit down restaurants where you are "served", I guess I would expect more. I'm always pleasant, even when service is bad, and they will still get a tip, but I just don't come back and patronize again. The worse case scenarios are if they are defensive or blame shifters or worse worse worse of all, are visibly anger about something and complain. I've had this more and more unfortunately. d
Thread: OT: Congress passing new laws about nudity on websites... R'osity? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The law is not new, it's just not being enforced until recently. It is a 2 edged sword, it will protect the legitimate adult porn sites who are doing the correct record keeping by having the records on hand and it will discourage other porn sites that steal other peoples porn (you down wit O.P.P.?) from being in business. 10 years in prison per offense if you can't prove the documentation. The problem is not the law, and most legitimate porn sites are not concerned about this law, what they are concerned about is this: The government is putting the squeeze on the credit card companies who are in turn putting the squeeze on merchant processing companies to re-evaluate their clients and to not accept new porn sites. Being the owner of an erotic art site myself, the company that I deal with has been told that their merchant processing processing company was pulling down several of the sites under their umbrella. So, there it is. Try getting a mechant company to do your credit card processing for an adult site, you'll be in a world of hurt. Davo "been there, done that" Rama
Thread: what happened to the GVCS? | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Hi Guys, The outter ring module (curved portion, not the portion with the bay doors) is just an exterior prop. As Tyger_purr mentioned, this is a modular construction set (with pre-assembled sets included so you don't have to do all the work), and I do have plans for a ring segment version that does have an interior corridor/rooms built in. That ring segment will be in an expansion pack as well as other room modules. I also have plans for a larger cargo bay that will be able to fit the lcv1 ship inside. The company that I am building this station for has already requested expansion packs with items that have been mentioned here :-) We all think alike ^_^ Tyger_purr has been setting up some cool pre assembled rooms that use the SFCS-II and SFCS Equipment pack from Daz. That's one of the reasons I made the SFCS-II and Equipment pack ahead of time, so that past and future products I make will be able to be populated by them. And, so you all know, I'm working deleriously on the GVCS, it's taking a long time because there is a lot of elements that need texturing, it's slow going, but will be able to be integrated perfectly with the FVCS so you can build many more custom ships from this package. After this GVCS is finished, I'm going to start doing stand alone vehicles that match style and texturing, but will be able to be produced much faster and without so much tedious work. Cheers, Davo

Thread: Poser 6 lighting probem with firefly versus p4 engine... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This scene was created with the default p6 James, defualt lights and an imported room from the figures library. I have to use the "ignore shader trees" option and p4 render engine because there is extensive bump mapping on the room and several of my props, and unfortunately, they only look good with the p4 render engine, the p5/p6 bump mapping is terrible, no matter how I try and adjust the bump mapping or try to use displacement mapping.
