There really is no Daz vs. Poser debate. Daz is getting better and now compares all the way across the board with Poser 8 (with the all the plugins of couse) Poser is the all in one package ,DS is the modular approach. I like them both. A 3d hobby has proven to be quite expensive and very addictive, so just go ahead and buy DS3 advanced and Poser 8 because eventually you will anyway if you stick with it. :) Im current ly working on getting a copy of 3dsMax so I can render Daz characters with Vray..see what I mean!!!

Hey did you have to install the RIB importer and shader converter to export out from blender and render with Geleto or does Mosiac do it all and launches Geleto from within blender?
also I cant seem to find the gz. archive opener for the py. script.

I have not, but I just downloaded it and will now that its free..Im looking for a something that can photorealistically render Poser characters in blender Im pretty much trying out all the free ones.

Yeah , Im now in the habbit of opening archives in 7z then just selecting the content I want and copying out. Same with zips ,I end up always copying out then manually installing files. life would be easier without thumbs. to just extract to location (aaaah the good old days).

Thank you Annie D I will save your instructions and go perform some minor e_surgery on my file system. I did switch my file view over to list and that helped a bilt but I have so many of these damn thumb dtat base files that they conflict with each other some times and I even have to restart my pc to just view folders , what a pain.

3 advanced for $54.00 right now is kind of cool.  but 149.00 regular..eeek thats a little steep for me right now.

*I'm working on an updated version of the script at the moment.  More of a streamlining of the existing script.  For the amount of man hours I've put into it I hate to give it away for free.  I like to think of it as a small donation to the cause.

*Do you have a projected release date, as I will just wait for the new script instead of buying the currnet one?

I havn't  played with D/S figure set up tools(basic) yet. And I am looking for all the ways I can to pipeline Blender to D/S as seamless as possible ( Im not sold on Hexagon compared to Blender yet), Plus your script is actually affordable. I "ll have to wait until my next content budget gets approved.

Blender2Pov is yafaray coding to use POVray render engine from within blender (intead of exporting out) but after getting Lux installed I doubet I'll ever use it!**

This is probably lame, but ive never done a blender update before :)

Do I just uninstall 2.48 and then install 2.49 or is there an update that just installs on top of 2.48?

How about Blender2Pov ? I noticed I have two verisons of blender on my desk top, I dont suppose this is updated to 2.49 yet.....is it?
