Apple have told CL as much about this code issue thingie as theyve told anyone about the 7470 chip. No-one knows until the announcement and any Apple employee looking like spilling the beans is buried in soft peat for six months. By coincidence the release date of the Windows version is around the time of two events being the Seybold Seminar and the Paris Expo.

That isnt the main problem nor is it your baiting the staff of Curious Labs about imagined faults in of all things the PDF of the Poser 5 manual, or in Poser 5. (Do you know where you are?).
Persistent and unprovoked personal attacks actually violate the TOS. The admins are being very patient, so are CL, but this cant last.

I have contacted the Admins about this member. Please do not think I did so because of his opinion on the Macintosh system or users of (like myself incidently). Certainly it can be argued that I may have provoked him at times and I admit having referred to him above and in an instant message as a wally and The Wicked Troll Of The North. To this end I have attempted not to reply to any of his recent entries or even acknowledge his presence but a thread in the forum, which the member started, about typos in the PDF manual for Poser 5 (!) he has continued his routine. Again toward Curious Labs and certain members and in fact any member who criticises him, oh and mac users. It is possible that his not having examples of any of his artwork in galleries etc is down to professional reasons and practicalities of the medium. I just dont think this will stop him showing still work or stills of his work. Lots of animators were once artists and lots of film makers were once still photographers. Its hard to believe he is unfamiliar with the series Red Dwarf being in the animation and film industry. Im sure even the most solemn programmer of C++ has heard the word "smegghead". Two entries into the same thread back-to-back as close as three minutes apart, both flames, I wonder if that has a name. The challenge code is entered during registration and is a safeguard against illegal distributing. You transmit, email, or read over the phone a number found with your purchase. You receive another code via the same medium to enter into Poser. There are a lot of potential users concerned about this and are quoting George Orwell. The Pro-Pac Service Release, a free download, was also going to have it but CL decided to rely on users reporting its illegal use instead. Id hate to think this is holding up the Mac version. I wonder if CL can hear this? HELLO? CL? ... (Whispers) - Better not be so loud, in case someone else can hear. Virtual PC from what I hear is not so clever with 3D aps and didnt work with Mimic. You probably should have got there at 10.20 AM instead, that is unless you were. Blame the Cambridge Police and never EVER ring expensive phone-up tech support. We all have our tech support horror stories, I doubt if many of those smeggers are actually involved in the product they are representing. I bet some-one buys a Windows thingie an sells their G4 just to run P5 the day before the Mac version date is anounced. Wouldn't that be a bummer!

I would like to appeal for calm from all Poser users who because of language, geographical location, platform or hardware specification will not be in the first wave of users to upgrade to Poser 5. If there is Poser 4 in any of the above situations then it is very unlikely there will not be a version of Poser 5 in the same. Not many things placed in the forum will speed up any delivery or announcement or announcement of announcement of any product and flaming or trolling cant be serving any purpose. My own upgrading to 5 as it happens will be delayed and otherwise complicated by more that one of the above factors so you can presume how annoyed I could decide to be. Its often hard to tell if some of the entries in some threads are from people who are angry or if theyre actually taking the p*ss. Members in Rural America and the Centauri Republic will also have to adapt to it when its released.
