If anyone has them, could they show me in the above pose either/and/or V3, P5s Judy or if so inclined the Nude Female from the beta of DAZ Studio? Ill get this thing working sooner or later. Also, where is Vickys best tu-tu?

There is no Nude Female from Daz Studio or a beta anyone has seen. Don't let people try to get you with false rumors. Anton Daz3d.com

P5 or V3 then. I'd have remembered the nudity tag but I'd allready sent it.

xvcoffee, I think what Anton was trying to tell you is that Daz Studio is not in beta yet. If you have heard differently, it's only a rumor. Pendy

If anyone has them, could they show me V3 or P5s Judy in the above pose? Using P4 or P5. I accept there is no such thing as DAZ Studio

Do you have the pose? I could recreate it but it wouldn't be the same.

xvcoffee ( ) posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 3:21 AM

Just need the legs to bend at the hip more than 15deg and to the angle shown. This is one of my first poses, operating a pipi.

I tried to match your image by using it on the background but the body types are so different, longer or shorter arms, torso and legs, it was difficult.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 2:10 PM

Not to sound rude or impertinent, but what's the big deal in recreating that pose? It's not that difficult.

diana ( ) posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 3:03 PM

It's not recreating the pose that was difficult, it's making the figure match in scale with the given image as a background so comparing them would be on a more equal playing field. Longer limbs or torsos don't line up when posed similarly so comparing them is not very precise. I don't know why you'd even ask such a question anyway if not to be rude and impertinent. Try to help someone out and I get dissed, what a concept. I didn't see anyone else helping out, least of all you.

xvcoffee ( ) posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 3:26 PM

Thanks diana. Ummm, try it without changing the scale. Just bend the legs to that position, dont worry about the exact pose any more. That model is Thorneworks Peridot from June Y2K and has those legs and arms.

diana ( ) posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 4:21 PM

I didn't scale the models, I scaled the camera to match the models as close as possible to the size of your image on the background, which I used as a guide for bend the legs. After posing Judy I found her pose didn't work on V3, it crossed V3's legs and jumbled the knees. So I had to reset V3 and pose her from scratch as it was taking longer to undo the mess Judy's pose made of V3 than to start over. Notice the lumps on V3's thighs on top? That's stock V3 without morphs, looks odd to me and they are there even in a less severe bent pose.

I have found that I will want to bend different joints for different sorts of poses.. depends on what postwork I want to do. To wit:

xvcoffee ( ) posted Sat, 28 December 2002 at 3:00 AM

This sounds like a serious problem with V3 and DAZ might need to know. Wonder if theres be a morph somewhere to stop it. In my project her hands will now actually cover the thighs, thats in the current version.

diana ( ) posted Sat, 28 December 2002 at 10:10 AM

I tried that Kiera and see what you mean now. I originally posed V3 by keeping IK on as I normally do and pulling down the hip to bring her into a sitting position. Then pulling the foot out to match the leg position. If I turn off IK and pose her bending the buttock. I get the messy joint at the hip. If I bend the thigh, I get the thigh lumps so evidently posing with IK is doing something similar to bending with the thigh joint. Neither is very pretty but the buttock posing does get rid of the thigh lumps. Thanks for pointing that out.
