Ye Gods and Great Cats...I feel positively ancient at almost 50! And here I thought I was just a spring chicken because I'm matriculating with my Masters in English Literature and finally getting into a PhD program! Ah, well. We've got six kids and the only one who's shown any interest is our Omega Child, the 16 year old Goddess (ask her, she'll tell you all about it). I'm pretty sure I never saw any Poser phigures in any of the stuff by Steppenwolf, 3 Dog Night, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, Yes, or The Who.

What about Enlisted Dress Whites? How come only the officers get attention? As a former Navy enlisted, I think they deserve costumes, too. Of course, if you have the classic "Cracker Jack" outfit, which I haven't found yet, you could just change the cloth to white.

Ok, for those of us who aren't clever enough to figure out Bryce, and have distinct problems at times with Poser...is this beauty available as a Poser character or prop somewhere?

Yep,Dave, and everyone else, using the term "mixed blood," especially in an area where the majority of the population has "white mans paperwork to prove they are a red man" can get you smacked by both colors. When I was in the Navy, one of my "punishments" for being a big mouth about civil rights was to be made the "race relations facilitator" for my division. That was way cool, to me. My first main training session I was the only seemingly Anglo face in the room so I got to make the coffee, sweep the floors, empty the trash, clean up after everyone, and do the rest of the "menial" work so I would know what it meant to be a minority. No problems! To me it meant I didn't have to go back to a ship I hated and a crew I loathed. Besides, I grew up in an integrated household and most of my family either has, or does, work in social services. Race was never an issue when I was growing up. I had to go into the military to find out what it was about. It's good that we can discuss such things in forums such as this. Rational interchange and discussion make for rational people. I applaud everyone involved in this thread for their common sense and hope it spreads like a virus. (Can you say "virus" on a computer board??)

Steve, your skills are legendary and the quality of your products is without reproach. I've been talking up the UTC for some time now to the hobbyists I know over here in my corner of America and I'm pushing them to get the whole package when they do...they've got the bucks. How about a V2-Sara plug-in?

Ya GOTTA love Political Correctness. I can't even refer to myself as a mixed blood anymore because one side of the other takes offense at the title. Lemme tell ya, it's no wonder we have so many schizophrenics and Dissociative Identity Disorder patients these days...no one knows who, or what, they are because someone, somewhere is going to take offense at something and make an issue out of it. I say bugger all that and let's just go back to being polite to each other and not hurting each others feelings on purpose, and when we do make a mistake, apologize for it and don't go looking for a lawyer to help put the best spin on the situation. But that's just me.

Ok, how about M3 to M2, V3 to V2? Example: I love the "indiana jones" adventurers stuff that DAZ has but its only for M3. I have M2. Would it convert in that direction?

I'm seriously considering purchasing this goodie. I've read a couple of the walk-throughs and it sounds really confusing...any suggestions for the Poser Impaired?
Thread: tEXTURE CONVERTOR | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to agree with PheonixRising...its abfab! I've finally been able to download all those wonderful V3 textures from all over the place and, while I have to throw away the injections and stuff, I've created a file in my textures folder called V3 where I tuck away the original textures, then I've another called V2 where I make individual folders for each texture. And, creating the MAT files is a double blessing, even though you don't have a picture to work from. You'll need to create a folder in your Poses file structure for each of the new MAT sets. I'm saving my extra lunch change to get the Michael plug-in.

We call 'em Binkies around here...don't know why, just is. Thanks for the prop. I've been "sorta/kinda" looking for props for a Rave picture I'm thinking my way through and this will be perfect.

Very, very good. I think the head may be just a touch smaller than it should be (perhaps Betty just had a big head?)but I absolutely LOVE the pose!

Oddly enough, depending on your point of view, Star Fleet uses old fashioned regulation departmental designation by color for uniforms. When I was in the U.S. Navy long ago we had just escaped the period where if you worked above deck you wore a white hat and if you worked below deck you wore a black hat (didn't show the grease and grime), and all the strips on the uniforms that showed rank were by color: Red for Engineering, White for Deck, Blue for Naval Command, etc.
