I have P5 and P6. Mostly use P6. I'm wondering if I should look for a PP license I can buy so I can do my rendering in Lightwave3D over the network. My renders get dumped by P6 pretty often due to Poser's memory mismanagement. :-( Doesn't matter HOW small I make the bucket, sometimes.

That is very true! If someone invents a direct translator for complete Poser scenes to Lightwave, they're going to make a lot of money. I'd buy it in a hot minute. GordonThread: After all our pissing and moaning... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Well, I'd certainly spend some money if Poser 6 Pro were available. And worked. GordonThread: New Site | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I'm glad you like it! Yes, it's gotten to where we have to keep the bedroom door shut at night to avoid cat scans. My cat doesn't cause any trouble, but the kids' two find it amusing to start licking your forehead at 3:00AM, stand on sensitive areas, and so forth. I hope to be able to maintain a twice weekly uploading of new material for the foreseeable future. I've got enough "in the can" to last until late February, and a bunch more in the works. And four or five hundred ideas for more recorded! :-D Stuff just pops into my head sometimes, and I have to write it down fast before it escapes.Thread: New Site | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks! I believe those are part of DAZ's "European Song Bird ReMix". Great quality. Gordon

Well, thank you all very much!!!! There's a lot more where those came from (My twisted mind, that is). The next one goes up Saturday evening.
I'm so glad that SOMEBODY likes these. I get a lot of stony looks here at work. They get 'em, they just don't think they're funny. Oh, well. I'm presently the lone designer working amongst a bunch of management types.
Sorry about the "bugs" in the site. It's my first, and I'm trying to learn the finer points as quickly as I can.
:-) Gordon :-D

Turbo Squid has a cheesy looking turkey for $60!!!! That's nuts. I've avoided dealing with them at all, so far. Their prices are absurd.

Never mind. I just called your toll free number. Didn't realize that was the procedure. All set!

Success!!! :-D Greenbriar determined that I had an option selected in CR2 Loader that, several steps later, was causing Animation Loader to fail. I guess the doc could use some information on how to make all these plugins play well together. So, that takes care of the biggest issue. Thank heavens. I've figured a good workaround for the smaller problems in Cr2 Loader. Which is to say apply the head and face morphs in Poser. Import the model into LW8. THEN apply the body morphs with Morph Mixer. I think that'll work. Big relief! This will save me tons of time.

I heard from Greenbriar this morning. They say to turn OFF the "Connect and Parent Bones" option in CR2 Load. Apparently it goofs up the skeleton, and could cause the Animation Loader to make a big mess. I'll be giving that a try ASAP.

Well, I just sent the developer a bunch of evidence showing Animation Loader failing to import a pose properly. Jpegs, C2Z file, LW scene, the whole shot. We'll see what happens now. I was sort of hoping to find someone who'd gotten it to work on ANY version of Lightwave. Oh, well. We'll see what he says...... (sigh)
