Just got PSP 8 at the campus bookstore. It was cheaper to buy the full version than the upgrade from 7. Looks,er, interesting... The main feature to PS 7 was the Actions, and it seems like PSP8 has the same basic feature, different name. I've never figured out channels or masks but I'm going to work on those concepts because of this tutorial.

I ran into this problem last night but I think it was because I used TIF files instead of GIF files for the texture on the ISO Maids dress and hose. I'm going to do a batch change and make them all transparent GIFS and try again later.

I agree...more textures for existing characters and packages and some restructuring of the pricing of older models. The "clubs" are neat, but pricey to join. And...I think that if they're going to advertise something as free, IE the DAZ Engine, it should be free, not require a membership fee to get it. If you require prepayment of any sort for elligibility, it aint free. But, free is worth what ya pays fer it, doncha know!
Thread: Toon/CGI characters I'd like to see... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm going to carbon date myself here, but I would like to see anything by Tex Avery. Specifically, Lil' Red and the Wolf. I think Sara, with some serious hip and breast work, could do for Lil' Red, but the Wolf will take someone with some excellent talent. Oh, sure...there's the Warner Brothers collection of toon folks, there's King Syndicate's Popeye and Betty Boop, Hana Barbara's entire line of characters...but I think we should start with Avery's folks. Any takers?

Oh, this is just TOO good! May I direct other graduate teaching assistants to this so they can find out who it is that writes all that stuff about them on the restroom walls? A touch of humility is in order, and this is just wonderful!

Y'know...I really love the internet. Where else would this many people be able to get together and complain about the weather in their corners of the world? This, and the educational possibilities, are exactly what I tell my students the internet is all about. The commercial end keeps it affordable, but this "global coffee shop" is the real thing.

Yep, certainly is cold out there. All my pipes are frozen (the ones on the mobile home, that is...) and I just spent several hundred dollars in parts and labor to make sure this didn't happen. Ah,well...rural living...Whatcha gonna do? Me for coffee laced with amarato!

What's the URL for where those lovely graphics were found, and does anyone know if there's ever been any of the characters from the series done as P4 characters, and where might they be found? For me, they'd have to be free, but it'd be nice to know that someone, somewhere actually made them.

Er, steampunk? I never saw the movie...didn't know there was one. I live in a rather rural area and just got satelite tv a few months ago. Previously we were restricted to one main channel and PBS because we live in the bottom of a valley. When I was in the Navy in the early seventies I remember being stationed in Naples and getting to see the Doctor five times a day in five different languages...that was very cool. Baker is the Dr. I remember best, but any version you want to produce, I'll be thrilled to have.

I love this idea! I have a large stack of back-up that I just used the Sharpie to label. Now I've got to go buy a color cartridge and a set of labels...anyone know where bulk CD labels are cheap? ;-}

Erm...wow...thanks everyone! I suppose I should have specified "free" in the title as I have no actual budget for buying the poor thing any clothes or goodies. I'll chase down these links and see what's available. Thanks again and here's to an exciting new year!

Check out this link: http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=9540 It's a proggie to help you redo your menu's in Poser in a more reasonable fashion. It also cuts out the file number limits. Be sure to read the readme and go to the website and read the tutorial before you buy, though. I understand there are issues that it has with FAT file systems. If you get it any time soon, let me know how it works for you, please.

The Dr. is IN da house!! Or something like that..I'll have to check with the resident teenager to find out if that was correct or not. Anyway, the above illustration is outstanding and will be printed and posted all over my desk and work area at the house so I can find it when I need it. Thanks, Doc!
