Yes Willow, I looked there before I posted this message. But to be honest the list is not much good without at least a little info to back up those sites. There are so many shortcomings in a free site and many of those aren't visible from the front end. I did get my site up tonight but for some reason my links won't work. I'm going to continue to pound away at this until i've got bloody fist or until the blasted thing does what I want it to do! I would like to thank everyone who took the time to reply, I appreciate the effort sincerely DEL

Okay so I found out that whatever the last graphic file to load on the page for uploading files to my website was crashing my system. so I turned all the multimedia off in my browser and wah-laa, sort-of I've got to use an FTP program to upload or edit and as of yet have not been able to get through.....

Thread: Prelude to Y2K? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Then again mabey it's a ploy by the government to belay fears about the y2k issue, Everone expects something terrible to happen on 9/9/99 and then it doesn't, so, people start saying things like "Hey, mabey this y2k thing is all bunk after all" then come the end of the year they don't take their money out of the bank and stuff it in their matress or cookie jars. Gotta go stock up on bottled water and canned spam! right. :-P

Thread: Posable clothing question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can edit the names in the hier editor but then it only applies to the file your working on. the clothes actualy conform to the individual body part IE forearm to forearm so the posing bit should work all the time....should he he. the manual says that any of the afore mentioned ways of conforming can be used. Pose 1st then clothe, clothe then pose. I myself usually select the figure, clothe it, then pose, that way you can tell if the selected pose is going to go sour on you. In any case re-conforming usually does the trick when the clothes go all wonky. :-)

The Curtains are from RayDream 3D. The lighting around the magicians hands was done in Corel with the lighting effect filter.
Thread: Ready to Progress beyond "Modeller Wanna Be" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use the following Ray dream 3D, Amorphium, TrueSpace 2.0. All of these are really good at some things but leave something to be desired in another. for instance...TrueSpace 2.0 is really easy to work with, you can size and shape things by hand or by the numbers and it imports and exports very well, but any object with a boolian operation and poser won't read the uv's (mabey they fixed that in V4.0). Amorphium is ultra-easy but lacks alot in the detail department (there is alot of guess work involved). Ray Dream 3D is nice but I've found that the meshes it produces are not quite real enough for use in other progs. you would almost think they where some sort of polymesh, if you saw one you would know what I'm talking about. Hope this helps!
