Try canceling the with the ESC key, it might work better. On the UI problem: Please post your resolution and whether you have set the Interface Preferences to launch to factory state or to previous state (Edit->General Preferences). khelben's advice sounds good, you should try setting your Interface Preferences to launch to previous state. Then go to Runtime/Prefs and delete the XML file with has your resolution in its name, but not the word 'Default'.

EricofSD, SimonWM, is it OK for you to switch to 'Launch to previous state' for the Interface Preference in General Preferences? By doing that, and by deleting your non-default UI pref file (as described in the readme), the workspace will look much cleaner.

Demon, iamonk, can you post your system specs? I wonder if you're having something in common.

How long is 'forever'? After installing the updater, on the first launch of the Walk Designer, Poser regenerates the WD's cache. This may take a couple minutes. From the second launch on, it should be as fast as always. Give it a try before reinstalling everything.

TerryMitchell, this is correct. Install SR3 App after everything else, and you'll be fine.

This sounds very odd. Can you tell what happens when you go in the library with your favourite image viewer and look at the PNGs? On my machine here (with SR3 installed), all the PNGs in the library are fine.

Hi dhulse, this problem can occur when the new Walk Designer improvements conflict with old Walk Designer poses. Can you let me know the date of the Walk Designer poses in Runtime/libraries/Pose/WalkDesigner? They must be updated, if this worked, then they're dated from March 24th. If they have been updated, then let's try another thing: please search all your runtimes for the WalkDesigner folder. If you happen to find one or more asides from the updated one mentioned above, please move them out of Poser's reach (or delete them, if you can do that). Also make sure to delete the file 'Don for Walk Designer.pwd' in Runtime/libraries/Pose/WalkDesigner. It caches walk designer data for speeding up its start (btw, this is the reason that starting the Walk Designer for the first time takes so long, because that file has to be generated first). Now lauch the Walk Designer again, and see if it works. If it works, and a new .pwd has been generated successfully, you should be able to copy the removed folders back to their location, if you need them.

sandoppe, are you talking about post #3? None of the updaters carries Poser 4 content (except for two bumpmaps and the Poser 4 Nude Man genitalia OBJ). Therefore, they won't affect your removed P4 stuff (except for the three files above). Also, the updaters do not know anything about 3rd party content, so they won't touch 3rd party content. What they do update are the Walk Designer poses (both updaters) and the Poser 5 figures in Runtime/libraries/character/Poser 5 (Figures Updater) The updater is not supposed to touch any files that have been changed by the user. If you want them updated, you need to restore the original state first. As far as I can tell, 'etc.' means content other than figures, e.g. poses, props or faces (pretty much everything in Runtime/libraries).

In reply to questions #16, #34:
There are some content files which can be found both in the SR1 Figures Updater (respectively in the SR1 Full Updater) and in the SR3 Application Updater (they're needed for the Walk Designer fixes). Therefore, applying the SR1 Figures Updater after SR3 could result in unexpected behavior. This was the reason to provide a new Figures Updater as well, which allows to install the SR3s in arbitrary order. So you can either do that, or, if the download is too large for you, just use the SR1 Full or Figures updater before applying SR3.
