Quote - Also, do not forget to set the ForceLimits to 4.
I told him to set the forcelimits already, I said 1 but 4 will work as well, poser doesn't seem to care as long as it's not 0

Its easier if you have a cr2 editor, they organize poser files into easy to understand hierarchies. Dimension 3Ds Poser File Editor here at Rendo is a really good tool chock full of useful features. and if you plan on building much content its definitely a good investment. If you want to go on the Cheap and don't mind less features you can use CR2 Builder, or CR2 Editor, both free cr2 editors, You can find them fairly easily by googling them.

you need to actually go into the pp2 or cr2 using a text editor and find the xtran and where it says forceLimits 0 change the 0 to 1

yep just set limits, since its the only part and its moving in a straight direction and back IÂ would do it with a morph, set to 1 will be all the way out and 0 will be all the way back, and you can set the limits to not exceed 1 or be less than 0
Thread: Poser stalls while loading a scene?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
yep I have had that happen Poser freezes up for some unknown reason, after waiting for an hour or so Give up and close it only to see just as I'm closing, that frigging dialog box pops up just long enough to make you scream in frustration but too late to save the scene. gnash teeth. I didn't know you could call the dialog to the front with that trick very cool thanks.
Thread: My last vent about poser animation and smith micro incompetence. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - If smithmicro was a professional company they would have training dvd's available that would teach the following.
could you point me to the DVD's made by Autodesk for Max? or for Maya? or by Maxon for Cinema? or my Newtek for Lightwave? all the DVD's etc I've found have always been from 3rd parties you see... (I've just been to Autodesk's website, Maxon's and Newtek's... and no mention of tutorial DVD's being sold by these obviously amatuer companies.......)
Not sure about the other companies but Maxon does have a video training series, though its downloadable online videos rather than DVD's http://www.cineversity.com/ and Luxology has an excellent series of pay for download video tutorials for Modo.
Though IÂ do have to agree that its not really Smithmicro's responsibility to provide aftermarket training materials, thats not what makes a product professional.
Thread: Problem with M3 Full Body Morph | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I have the same problem, but after installing both the SR1 and new morph packs. It was fixed for a while, but reverted to the broken state. Now I've once again replaced M3 and the morph packs with updated versions, but somewhere there's a bad file and it's still broken.
its possible that you have a non updated copy of the delta files loaded in one of your runtimes, other than that I can think of no reason why it should work for a while and than fail. Do a search for the Michael 3 folder to see how many you have if you have more than one located in a !DAZ folder than thats your problem.
Thread: A problem with V4.2 updates | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
sounds like the updater applet didnt run, go into the runtime that your V4.2 is loaded, go into the libraries folder, and find the !DAZ folder. inside that you will see a flie called DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat double click on that and you should be set.
Thread: Problem with M3 Full Body Morph | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Update both the body morphs and M3 to make sure you have the latest version of both, one or the other of what you have is the origional release version.
Thread: Poser Pro and Cinema 4D, Maxon CINEMA 4D R9.6-10.5 (32-bit), Autodesk 3ds Max | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Attached Link: Link to Interposer Pro
Frankly if you are considering Cinema 4D than I would advise looking at Interposer Pro rather than Poser Pro.Interposer Pro converts the Poser rig to one you can animate directly in C4D. that means that you can do all of your figure animation directly in C4D, which has more powerful animation tools rather than relying on Poser for that.
the poser pro conversion requires you to use the Poser animation tools to do the animation and only than can you transfer the figure pre animated to C4D to render. any time you want to make adjustments to the poses in your animation you have to go back to poser pro to do it.
Im not saying that Poser Pro isn't worth looking at, just that there are better solutions if you are looking at C4D in particular.
Thread: Stupid Question, about Texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Unfortunately I think there is no answer short of saving your scene creating a new scene and loading up your scene again. for some reason poser doesn't purge texture references from a scene when you are done using the texture.
Thread: M3 - V3 to M2 -V2 question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nope as far as I recall the mil 3 to mil 2 figures were pop tops, the millennium 3 figure on the millennium 2 body, so while some mil 2 morphs might work below the neck you may have some problems, and the mil 2 figures didn't have morph injection, so you would have to transfer them over manually using morph manager. as far as materials I'm pretty sure you have to use the mil 2 textures on the body and Mil 3 on the heads.

Thread: OT: ZBrush to Poser Morph - Anybody know what causes this and best way to fix? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
the bad posing problems are because your joint centers no longer align with the group they are to be applied to closely enough, for example you said you lengthened the legs by scaling before exporting from poser and than sculpted in zbrush and reimported the morph. for something like stretching the legs you have to do it with scaling becouse the joint centers needs to be in as close to the same position on the mesh as it was in the base. scaling actually moves the joint center. but when you try to apply your morph which stretches the legs your joint center is still in one place but the actual knee on the mesh is in another place and of course so is the foot and toe. the way you need to work to get a more successful character is to do the changes to the shape that dont actually require stretching any joint, and do all your stretching with the scaling dials once you have applied the morph in poser.
Thread: Anyone still remembers me ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
welcome back Schlabber, good to see you are still around.
as for poses, I love your action poses but what is really lacking is decent every day poses. everyone seems to want to do superhero, Fighting and fashion model poses no one wants to do poses that depict more common day scenes. a variety of walking positions, picking something up, putting something down, sitting in various positions, leaning against things, doing various things with the hands. and yes I would like them for V4 as the poses for the millennium 3 figures don't work well on the 4th generation rig.
