You sure your loading the .jpg that needs to be converted in the bump map section, not the texture section? The second one down on the left.
Thread: how to convet .jpg to bum? | Forum: Photoshop
The ground plane is already loaded in the default scene, just go to Render>materials, select the ground plane as the prop and load your .jpg that you want to convert into the .bum into the bump map menu. Poser will ask you if you want to convert it, select yes and you're all set. You can also convert it using it's intended prop, if you have it loaded into the scene. Be sure to remove the newly created bump map from your ground plane if you go that route.

Do you have Poser? I don't know how to do it in Photoshop, but if you load the .jpg as a bump map to the ground plane in Poser, it will convert it for you.

Don't know what you want specifically, but I have a program that I just started using to log links. They are in crude form, as they are designed for my use, but perhaps this will give you a headstart. I'll also update this frequently (yeah right :) )Thread: Sundial? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Available in freestuff now. I don't know the original author, so I could not give credit for the tattoo, just the coloring.

Thanks for the info on Propsguild, I've got a PWFW subscription, and the Platinum Club, and was seriously considering Propsguild, guess I'll read a bit more and see what the final verdict is :)
Thread: Don't get excited - CL has a new blurb about Mac Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To save you a trip, here's what their page says: "We are working on and plan to release a Macintosh version of Poser 5 in the future. Apple has introduced entirely new engineering standards, which we need to support, but require a larger workload and a longer release cycle compared to previous versions of Poser for Mac. We hope you understand and thank you for your patience. We will be announcing details on system requirements, pricing and dates when we have more solid information. Thank you for your interest in Curious Labs products!" I wonder if the Daz Studio or P5 will make it out first?

I run it on a G3/500MHz iBook 384MB RAM, running 10.2. It's no speed demon, but it gets the job done.
