Mmm interesting yeah the similarities between the 2 are so close it is hard to tell.

Well most of what I had said in my posts is not all true (hides face) V5 is will not be a stand alone as I was hoping which sucks. The idea of having to use a CR2 exporter for poser and having to switch between DS and Poser to build a scene will be horrid..

Seems that Daz had told SM about what they were doing with their Genesis line and that if they want to use her to her full extent then they had to put support in Poser for it but seems that SM only went part way in that regard.  So for full support SM would have to add support in a future patch or Poser 10 / Poser Pro 2013, thats if they do it at all.

So looks like V4 / M4 or lower or any other third party figure for Poser for me at the moment.

What I would be thinking too and if they be charging money for it which they will they would want it to be something spectacular for both Daz and Poser users.  And that the amount of work they put into the DS version you would hope they would do so for the Poser version when they release it.

Ahh k, but yes definitely a case of wait and see but I hold on to the faint hope it will be what I hope it will be.

Had a closer look at the post and it looks like that it will be a stand alone weight mapped figure as he says in his post "V5, like genesis, is exquisitely weight mapped, which means more tasty joint bending goodness... Now with realism!"

They also say "V5 will not "work" in poser like she works in DS4... But you will be able to use Genesis with all it's morphs... Including V5... in Poser very soon."

That last bit gives me hope that they bring her out for us poser users. :)**

Here is my render done with Poser 9 with IDL, SSS and AO used the default lights that come when P9 starts. It came out ok but still got to work on it lol. :)

Yes I think the their servers got hammered early on as I was only getting about 5K/s tho about half hour later was at 150K/s. And yet I can do about 700K/s on a good day. :)

 Well if my experiences with Poser 9 are nothing short of amazing. I have done a IDL and SSS render in half the time Poser 8 could do it.

Yes much improved even Poser 9 is much faster with IDL than 8 ever was.

I am doing a render with IDL and Subsurface scattering and is very cool. 

I got Poser 9 as did not have quite enough for Poser Pro 2012 before the pre order special ran out. And well I will get PP2012 at a later date but for the moment Poser 9 is great out of the box unlike Poser 8 which had so many glaring bugs in it at release.

 Main thing is what you can afford at the time but if saving up wait and go PP2012 with so many features including HDRI all a case of up to you really. 

I had same problems as some about the code and urls not working put in a ticket turned out I was trying to get it too early. lol

No sooner had the reply come back I clicked the hotlink in the pdf coupon and all went great playing with Poser 9 now and it is excellent.
