Did someone tell you you couldn't? If the motivations to to help understand the issue, I don't see why it would be a problem.. But, I'm not an administrator.. I'm sure we would all like to know if there is some major issue going on here.. It's not happening to me as we discussed in our e-mail exchange.. I am able to log on thru several different browsers on two different machines..and I'm on dial up.. I really hope we can figure this out for you.. Bruce

Thread: sorry admins but I have to ask.. | Forum: Community Center
Jumpstartme2, I agree, TG and Fractals may not have the same type of issues that say, Poser and Photography and 2D do... But, they are busy galleries, and therefore there are COMMENTS that need to be reviewed as well.. My hat goes off to the Poser Mods, because, It is a lot of work to deal with all of that.. As Tammy stated, we are working on a new community structure for these things.. I think the solution we are working on is going to help out a lot in this area..Be a little patient, and you will see some improvement in this area. We do help each other cover the busy areas.. You may not see it, but we do.. Bruce

Jumpy...having an approval period isn't a practical idea.. Some galleries such as Poser, fractal, and Terragen are extreemly busy galleries.. It takes a fare amount of our time to go thru each and every image.. Try it for your self.. As to the TOS, every "law" is to some degree open for interpetation.. As an example, look the recent debate about the "do not call list".. We do discuss images if we are not sure, and no we don't always agree.. Images do "fall thru the cracks"... it's going to happen no matter how many mods we have.. As it was stated above, if you see an image that you think violates the TOS, just show it to one of the Mod team.. "Rosity just isn't listening" I'm now the third moderator to reply to this thread, so I do think we are listening.. You may not like the answers you are getting, but we are listening.. Thread: Image size in Threads | Forum: Community Center
As far as I know there is no hard set limit on the size, it's up to the indvidual moderator to do this in their own area.. The size you suggested is about right.. I ask my areas to keep them to 640x480.. That should be large enough to convey a point or question..

Thread: What gives with all the trouble geting to this site??! | Forum: Community Center
I do know they upgraded some software, and it has seemed to help... I always come here thru a bookmark/favorite.. Mine is to the main page.. Of course, I'll suggest that you clear all your temp files, cookies etc etc... Double Crash, I wonder if your issue had anything to do with the recent blackout... Scathdebas, what browser and version are you using? Now that you've posted it, yes we do know you can't get to the site... Ok, what do we know?, some folks are getting here just fine, some aren't... That means to me, the problem isn't site wide... perhaps you should try updating your bookmark/favorite... Remove the current ones you use and try making new ones.. I've had that happen to me... Does the rest of the web work OK? I'm really trying to figure this out and help you resolve this issue... Bruce "Pushinfaders"

Hmmm, I've never seen that message here... I know there were some problems earlier this week.. There was some upgrading done to the site and it has been good at my end so far.. I've found the site to be running at a decent pace for the last two or three days.. Please let us know if your still having a problem.. It should have been resolved by now..

Thread: Serious :vs: Non-serious | Forum: Community Center
"You make the laws, you abide by the laws - Lead by Example." I can't speak for anyone else but my self.. I do the best I can to lead by example.. I'll admit, I have probably two of the easiest areas to manage.. Landscape artists tend to be pretty easy going.. :-) I tend to deal with any "issues" on a case by case basis, sometimes a gental nudge will resolve a problem, sometimes a bit more "force" is required.. Again, it all a matter of personal style and preference.. It's the same way in any organization.. I've spent 20 years working in the entertainment business, some folks are great to work with, some aren't.. I've been a mod here for less than a year.. So, I may not know all the history of the goings on here.. I was a member for about a year prior to that.. I dunno, I do the best I can to keep "my" members happy.. If it gets to be too much, I'll give it up, my personal sanity is worth too much to me. :-) I'm here first and foremost as an artist.. Please don't take that as a love it or leave it attitude, I'm just saying that we do what we can to affect changes.. I can't change the world, I can just make my corner of it a little better than I found it.. Bruce "Pushinfaders"

After a little thought, I thought, I'd chime in on this subject, even tho, I probably have no busines doing so.. I can't speak for what any other Mods do.. We were all trained the same way.. If I have to remove an image, I give a specific TOS reference for the image in question.. I know one image I removed(not from one of my areas) took no less than 10 IM's to resolve.. Remember, the TOS like any other "law or Rule" is to some degree open to intereptation.. I tend not to wander around galleries other than the ones I'm in charge of.. Especially looking for problems.. If any of "my" members have an issue, I deal with it as best I can, and if I can't resolve it, I bring it to the attention of some one who can.. I know everyone has their own "style" of being a Mod..No different than members have their own ways of expressing them selves.. The one thing I find interesting, and agin, I'm not looking to stir up trouble, is a few of the folks who replies to this thread seem to have an issue with certain moderators.. But, haven't named names.. If you really feel that a moderator treated you in an unprofessional way, why not just document their actions and bring it to someones attention? Yeah, there are times I get frustrated too.. Believe me... I enjoy being a moderator.. I take a lot of pride in the work I do here.. Pushinfaders..

Thread: Is any of this your ART WORK? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great thread...The exact same thing goes on with Incredimail stationary groups.. I joined a bunch of em (or tried to) to look for stolen art.. Several times I was refused membership (how dare they?!!) or thrown out for pointing out stolen works on these groups.. There is no easy answer for this..
