Thread: Very easy question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One thing to be careful of - some items have restrictions on them. If your children's book is going to be sold, you can't use things from Rubio's Room for example. The terms of usage say, "Non-commercial use only." (If that has changed, please let me know. I've been drooling over the dress Carolly is talking about.) You will find this restriction on some of the free stuff around. As far as I know, anything you buy can be used for commmercial renders. (I know that's the case at Rendie, DAZ, and Poser Pros.) Many freebies can be used for commercial renders, but you have to read the readmes, site terms of usage, etc. Cheers!

Let one of the Mods know. They'll go and check the links, removing the ones that aren't valid any more. Cheers!

Did you try setting the displacement to .001 or so in the render settings? That might fix it. Also, set the fall-off to 0, not 1. This will keep the fall-off all the way up, all the way through. I always set my fall-off to 0 for transparencies. Hope this helps.

Due to the way Poser 5 handles materials, you may need to tweak a few things (bump maps being the big one), but I use Poser 5 most of the time and almost never have any difficulties with DAZ products working in Poser 5. On the other hand, DAZ products won't take advantage of some Poser 5 features such as dynamic cloth. On the other other hand, purely Poser 5 features aren't that popular in comparison to Poser 4/Poser Pro Pack compatible items any way. (Dynamic cloth items and Poser 5 hair are few and far between, both as freebies and as commercial products.) DAZ doesn't officially support Poser 5 for a few reasons, but they do the best they can. And you can ask in their forums, and you can ask here and other forums like Runtime DNA if you get stumped on something that is Poser 5 related. Cheers!

1 male - Don 1 female - Judy 1 girl - Penny 1 boy - Will Each of the figures has some clothing, though you may have to get the figure updates and clothing updates from Curious Labs - www.curiouslabs.com. There are some animals and a few other figures as well. The figures have the ability to morph - to have their features changed somewhat - so you can have multiple of the same figure in the scene and it won't necessarily look like a clone convention. Cheers!

It sounds like the skirt is a dynamic prop, not a conforming figure. That is definitely a P5 only item. The rest of it, from what I can see, looks to be PP compatible.

Don't rename the files. From the product page: Product Installers PC You will need all three installers to install this product. Place them both in the same folder before running. The installer will reference the secondary and tertiary support files(.002, .003) on installation. PC Download Size: 34.00 Mb PC Part2 Download Size: 34.00 Mb PC Part3 Download Size: 0.39 Mb Product Installers MAC You will need both files to install this product. Place them both in the same folder before running. The installer will reference the secondary support file on installation Mac Download Size: 29.93 Mb Mac Part2 Download Size: 38.89 Mb *** Cheers!
Thread: howto cloth mayadoll? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The clothing has to be made for Mayadoll. You can not use P5 conforming clothing on her. MayaX has some nice freebies on his site for the Mayadoll. After you install the clothing, you load up the Mayadoll then load the clothes and conform as usual.

HaiGan - at least some of the veins are bump maps, so you can turn them down or remove the veins entirely. And, yep, one of the first things I thought of was making an improved "beating a dead horse" picture. ;-)

Riddokun - I think this was just a misunderstanding due to the wording in one of your posts. This is a hot topic, so something that doesn't read properly can easily be taken the wrong way. (Heck, I've had that happen and English *is* my native language.) bijouchat - if you're the Robin, is Pengy the Batman? ;-) Here's a page that talks about the U.S. comic book code of 1954. It's kinda funny to read, actually. Here are a few of the ones that struck me as particularly amusing: "No comic magazine shall use the word horror or terror in its title." "Scenes dealing with, or instruments associated with walking dead, torture, vampires and vampirism, ghouls, cannibalism, and werewolfism are prohibited." Cheers!Thread: Finally you can horse around!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would have hoped she'd at least use a saddle blanket! That has to be uncomfortable, and the horse didn't have to be nude, after all. ;-}~ Nice job on the body morphs, btw. She looks like a real woman this way.
