oh gosh, I don't even know HOW to make a Carrara shader!? The coats are JUST in jpg form with instructions on how to apply them WITH CWRW's coats on the HiveWire horse... her textures make up a lot of what I didn't provide with this conversion job... But sure, I'd be glad to host a "shader" of them on my site, if you can work that out! :)

huh? one of 4? I will check on that page on my website! No one contacted me back when I first posted those 4 Mil Horse Textures zips....maybe when I re-uploaded my web site (so my newly reinstalled Front Page would be happy) something glitched! Checking now....
No, the page is intact and ALL FOUR ZIP LINKS are below the image...perhaps you did not SCROLL down? I clicked each link and got a properly numbered zip and mb size for each one... so please do try again and I'll check back here asap!

and now I have no idea why that link won't go "live' here... sheesh! Sorry, you'll have to copy and paste it. :/

Well ATT DSL tech said "they don't have any plans right now to discontinue DSL in my area"...AND I heard back from Laurie!! I CAN offer my Leopard appaloosa and my "champagne/palomino" colors for Harry Free! yay!
Now just to get time to FOCUS, write the readme, and zip them up... be WARNED! They will have a README that is VITAL to use... as there will ONLY be the single jpg horse coat map! You MUST USE (AT LEAST) CWRW's default mat that came with Harry or in this case the light cream draft color as a base for ALL settings except for coat and hooves! I will not only have a text file readme but sceen capture jpgs to SHOW YOU the settings in the material room of my Poser 9! You can use the pretty light mane and tail from the cream draft or unicorn's. I am NOT doing any mane and tails either. Sorry but this is to accomplish two things... make life eaiser for me, and inspire sales for Laurie. Her maps/mats for Harry are "to die for" and make a great base/bump and specularity for mine!
At least I am closer to being able to do this for you. You can go to my gallery anytime and look at my WIP for the appy, and the palomino/champagne colors! :)

Got my Front Page going fine...woo hooo!! yay yay yay! RELIEF!!
I have one more day of installing (I hope) and am waiting to hear back from CWRW on what FREE Harry textures I can release now...
I also have to call ATT and find out if they are discontinuing DSL in my area and IF I am giong to be FORCED to go to Uverse... if that is the case, then I have to get THAT hassle taken care of before I can go back and go over some of my other store items and also check into releasing some of my dear friend's products too....she and I have been talking about it and she is very open to it... but it still depends on my time and energy to prepare her items for download... She did the incredibly realistic foods/meals and the tree/rock druids for one thing...
Stay Tuned!

Thread: Renderosity trying to drive away business? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
As I said in the feedback thread, I am NOT re-newing my Prime, and I am shopping VERY LITTLE if any here, anymore....the entire Feedback thread has been ignored (ie: not commented on, no changes that would have been simple done to help us, the CUSTOMER). It does seem like they honestly don't care... I guess they have enough NEW customers that they don't care about those of us that got this place going in the first place and have tried to stick by them all along. My $100-$200 per month is going to another store site now...
I just don't understand such blatant disregard for the "voice of the people"- the very "bread and butter" for a store in this economy!
I just feel REALLY BAD that the merchants I love so much are getting hurt ....I wish I could support them, without supporting the store here... but... :(

To quote Ice Princess:
have no idea WHY in the world the webmaster wants dark red, skinny sale font, instead of the golden yellow, like "Smilies" right above the reply window here. THAT would be absolutely perfect-- not too bright, not too dark, not too unsaturated. I wish Tina would recommend that to the webmaster, and be able to convince him. The other option would be to keep the color but put the "Sale" font in bold, and make the font a little bit bigger.
That red, BTW, is even worse for colorblind folks getting something as a gift (I doubt many colorblind people make full-color art) Though I know such customers are an extreme rarity-- however, customers with vision problems have also complained about this.
I AGREE!!!!!!!! And I can see something EASY TO CHANGE is being TOTALLY IGNORED... and I too am "speaking with my wallet"... ie: NOT re-newing my Prime NOR shopping much here anymore... As was said: RDNA is really nice...AND HiveWire 3d has fantastic HIGH END products! I will keep up my Freebie thread here because it has a following, and my gallery is very special to me, here... so I hope THE SUITS keep the forums and galleries going... But this is just NOT HOME ANYMORE!!! :(

OH I have plenty of external "book" TB drives and lots of "ram sticks" full!! Believe me, been there, done that! :)
I recently found a FREE Dictionary and Thesaurus! AND in it's OPTIONS you can adjust the size and type of FONT!!!! So you can see it easily! I think it's a SAFE free one, as they sell the Pro version. I did a virus scan...
here is the Free Dictionary and Thesaurus:
http://wordweb.info/free/
works beautifully in my win7 64 bit!!
I had to buy the newest PKZip (my fav. zip-unzip program) so it would work WITH the right-click in Explorer.
Today is slated for my VITAL Front Page 2002..it HAS to work so I can continue all my posting of my freebies! I think it is the last WYSIWYG web site builder and it "goes with my brain"! :)) Wish me more luck!

Thread: How can I MAKE Poser 9 USE the ram I have? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
whoa! (not shouting, just trying to be clear)
I AM NOW USING : A 64 BIT WIN7 OS, WITH 64 GIGS OF RAM ON BOARD, AND MY VIDEO CARD IS FOR GRAPHICS WITH 4 GIGS ON BOARD IT.
I AM TRYING TO RUN POSER 9 ON THIS OS AND USE THE FULL 4 GIGS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO DO.
I AM DYSLEXIC! So much of the math or equations of this discussion just don't "compute" for my brain...BUT I GATHER THIS:
that poser 9 is LLA already? How do we know this?
that check marking the box for Separate Process will help a great deal, and I did do that. My windows FIREWALL came up and asked if I wanted to allow PUBLIC OR PRIVATE Networking?!?! Scared me...but having only ONE MACHINE (connected to the internet) I chose Private. I assume it was just Poser wanting to USE all 8 "lanes" that my quad gives me. (again: Intel i7 quad) and it saw this as "networking"?! My friend has the same CPU.
and that leaving my default bucket size at 32 is actually better? Poser 9 does NOT change the bucket size when it maxes out on memory! I have watched it for years on my old win7, and also now on test renders on my new OS. The render "square" does not change size! I had to manually lower it to 16 in trying to help my memory (before I had check marked that box... I have to re-test again now that I have. (poser 7 DID automatically change the bucket size).
I have actually been testing two render scenarios - one is "me" - I normally choose 72 dpi and about 2500xwhatever. My friend wants to render PRINT SIZE art, and she chooses 300 dpi and 4000xwhatever. The LATTER just would not fully render one V4, with character texture and clothes in a 111 mb pz3...I kept trying smaller and smaller "area renders" for that.
MY preferred size of 72 dpi and DEFAULT window (screen size which is for me 1680x1050 and 125% zoom on my 22 inch flat screen) size rendered in ONE PASS (and this same pz3 would not render AT ALL on my old 32 bit!) But when I tried to raise the default render picture size to 2500xwhatever AGAIN this "small" size would not render in one full pass. :( oh and I was using easy to render Fabi hair and very little clothing....
So. I just hope check marking that box makes life a LITTLE "faster"... and again, assuming that I am NOT supposed to use the LLA program.
THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!! I am trying to learn this...and of course very anxious for the day I come back here to ask how to set up Poser 2014 to do it's best! :)) But I spent so much on the machine, I have to wait for a sale.

LOL no problem Alisa ... for one thing, it keeps my thread alive! LOL!
and also FYI... I am back on my shiny new HIGH POWERED 64 bit win7...and STILL re-installing! I want so much to get back to being creative...but can't until my "house is all in order"... and oh what a pain!
For one thing, my ancient PKZip will NOT work right on a 64 bit OS so I had to buy the newest version...- to get the right click menu options... can you imagine not having your favorite un-zipping program in OUR world?! LOL!!
and on it goes....
Hugs all!

Thread: How can I MAKE Poser 9 USE the ram I have? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK! I did check mark the Seperate Process...since I have a "Quad" inteli7... and my number above this says "8" then it's telling p9 to USE the "8 lanes" for traffic, is my understanding.
3DFineries- have you used that little program on your P9 or another 32 bit graphic program (I desparately want to use my Carrara 8 also, and am betting it will run into the same problem). ? It's kinda scary to modify my programs...
What I WILL do FIRST is make a back up copy of my Poser 9's exe, rsr and whatever other files "go with" it's exe.... as I assume if I create a restore point before using it, will help too... I use ccleaner to clean up my files and my registry as well... (as you can see, I'm being VERY cautious, but I do want to try and help my P9!)
I am betting that Smith-Micro won't have 2014 on that good of a sale again until the holidays or longer... sigh.
THANKS!! Any and all suggestions are SO appreciated!!

WOOO HOOO! Thank Dan!! and I will be sure to post here occasionally if for nothing else but to say hello, I'm still here!
I am working on porting my Mil horse textures to the new HiveWire horse...not only trying my best to improve them AGAIN but I am adding WHOLE NEW ONES - more colors and markings... I made one to look similar to California Chrome even... what a story that was...
Hugs all!!!!

oh PS... I do have to honor CWRW's new HIGH END horse maps for the breeds that are coming out soon...I would not want to take away even ONE sale of her's... my maps are SO OLD they are not good for portrait work...ok for medium to long...uh.. herd of horses type I think... but I just can't help myself, I love this horse so much, I just keep creating maps while I wait for Laurie's!

Thread: SO my STICKY Lyne's Creations thread has been REMOVED AGAIN!??! | Forum: Freestuff
Well gosh! If anyone had ever told me that it needs a post of some sort every 45 days or it will fall off, I would have made sure (made a note on my calendar even) to help maintain it!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for actually FINDING my oringinal (I think it is) thread...hmmm must be the newer version since it has about my mil horse textures...
But honestly, thank you for helping...the upheaval of my "home" on this site has been really upsetting to me...and so with the coincedence (spell? - IE's spell checker that I NEED is no longer working at this site too)... argh! that my thread fell off at the same time...
Your efforts to find my thread and put it back and EXPLAIN to me what/why this time REALLY helps and has restored some of my faith... it's people like you that are the TRUE heart of this site and show how much they care!
All that said.... I will post to my 'oringal' thread and also ask you again if it "poofs"... so do you want to DELETE this thread? Or can I do that ?
Warmly,
Lyne

Thread: Major Improvements to the Marketplace - STILL IN PROCESS | Forum: Community Center
BUT NO ONE IS RESPONDING TO THE "FEEDBACK" THREAD, NOR ARE ANY OF THOSE CONCERNS BEING FIXED!!
I am NOT renewing my Prime...and will NOT be spending my $100-200 a month HERE like I did before the changes... I just wished my MONEY, or the lack of it, had a "voice" but seems not... why don't the "suits" CARE?? I guess they have enough income anyway.
:(((

Thread: FEEDBACK THREAD ONLY | Forum: Community Center
I agree...they put this here just to have some place for us to VENT... but have no regard for how we ARE FEELING...
CLOSED WALLET IS THE WAY TO GO! I AM NOT...REPEAT NOT renewing my Prime membership and I am also doing my best to BREAK my habit of buying here... sadly new customers who don't know how good it was are probably spending anyway so not sure we have any say... I even mentioned how straight forward and easy to use HiveWire is! I haev spent more this month at Hive than here... so my dollars are leaving... (but for the Hair Fits here for Dawn, that I truly need for the new direction I am going in)...
Perhaps a NEW thread on this (above?) I have always been a rebel rouser, ie: spoken my mind...as I used to feel my $100-$200 a month MEANT something... but it just does not seem to matter to the "suits"!??!
My plea was if NOTHING else, to change the FONT COLORS for price...and oh ya, the fact that it is a SALE price no longer shows up in my wish list! and you all are RIGHT-
THE SEARCH ENGINE IS BROKEN AGAIN!! AT FIRST IT SEEMED TO IMPROVE BUT SUDDENLY IT JUST DOES NOT WORK ANY BETTER, AND IN MANY WAYS, WORSE!
I guess they really don't want our money.....
