Subject: SO my STICKY Lyne's Creations thread has been REMOVED AGAIN!??!

Lyne ( ) posted Tue, 08 July 2014 at 12:46 PM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 8:57 AM

Just because it has not been posted to in a month or two, you removed it again?!?! And now all my old links are lost AGAIN?!  Is this a punishment of some sort because I hate the new store design or you just have no use for an on going thread unless I bring out my freebies on a more regular basis?  Many have not yet discovered my huge stock of Freebies but now... you are putting the nail in the coffin of my enjoyment and confidence in this site.  :(

I've been working on a GIANT new pack of converted Mil horse textures to the HiveWire horse - converting and ADDING new ones, as "advertised" in my gallery.... I've had a very sick kitty and chaotic life the past couple of months, so I can't work as fast, aside from the fact I am respecting a well known artist's need to put her commercial horse add-ons out FIRST...

I don't know... I have NO desire to remove myself from my LONG TIME home here.. but this is the SECOND TIME you have removed my thread as a sticky...I came here to let folks know what has been in progress as seen in my gallery... and am SO disheartened that you, whoever you are, feel my thread is unimportant.

Please calm down and write to the power(s) that be. Perhaps it was a misinformed or misguided intern who decided to act on his/her/its own. The site had undergone some modification (good, bad, indifferent) so that could explain why your thread is MIA. This site had undergone more upheaval than "General Hospital" (a popular soap opera in US).

Take care and maybe you can start a new STICKIES thread, eh?

Sigh, truly disturbing as you have been SO helpful to struggling artists everywhere. Your new mil horse content sounds wonderful, can't wait to see it as I'm seriously thinking about starting up my fantasy series again and it would work so well there. Gee, I hate to see you go away from here, but have you looked over at ShareCG? Not ideal but at least none of MY stuff has ever disappeared over there...

The threads cycle every 45 days IIRC from when I worked here, maybe that's what happened...have you PM'd Dan?

Lyn nobody has removed your thread.  bobbystahr has got it right.  It is due to the sight programming that threads that are not posted to will fall off the rotation.  Please do not remove your wonderful freebies.  I know I enjoy them and I am sure others do to.  I will try to find where your thread is.

I am attempting to get a link to your thread put into the forum header.  Please be patient.  It is the only work around that I know of at the moment other than manually bumping the thread once a month.

Well gosh! If anyone had ever told me that it needs a post of some sort every 45 days or it will fall off, I would have made sure (made a note on my calendar even) to help maintain it!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for actually FINDING my oringinal (I think it is) thread...hmmm must be the newer version since it has about my mil horse textures...

But honestly, thank you for helping...the upheaval of my "home" on this site has been really upsetting to me...and so with the coincedence (spell? - IE's spell checker that I NEED is no longer working at this site too)... argh! that my thread fell off at the same time...

Your efforts to find my thread and put it back and EXPLAIN to me what/why this time REALLY helps and has restored some of my faith... it's people like you that are the TRUE heart of this site and show how much they care!

All that said.... I will post to my 'oringal' thread and also ask you again if it "poofs"... so do you want to DELETE this thread? Or can I do that ?

Warmly,

Lyne

way back when this happened before to someone I believe I made a thread explaining the 45 day refresh and advisd sticky owners to at least check in on their threads once per cycle to keep them active but that thread was years ago. Dan, maybe put that info in the forum header...not that it's read much but at least yer behind will be covered, heh heh heh.
