I know Chris Thelema and am very sorry to hear of this. Chris started up the MSN community group Viewpoint Bryce/Poser in hopes of giving the 3D community a tight knit community to visit without a lot of the conflicts found at other such sites...he accomplished this, and his group is still growing. Chris lives in the UK, just a short distance for a prayer from anywhere in the world.

Surprising enough I have been noticing a 'comeback' of new Posette stuff. Try the site http://www.posetteforever.com, a site dedicated to the P4NW Posette...you will find freebies and links as well there. A lot of Vicky 1 & 2 clothing will fit Posette with some dial twisting as long as you don't do a lot of morphing on the Posette figure. With a bit of surfing and searching you will be surprised at the amount of available stuff. [Your best bet for anything concerning the P4 Dork is to search the freebie achieves here at RO.]

Any type tutorial on most all subjects is welcomed by me. I have been at Poser for quite awhile, don't get a lot of time to experiment with it and am a tutorial addict. Currently I am about '3-Toots' behind on Dr. Geep's stuff and need to catch up there also. Just one request...please don't forget those of us still using Poser 4. Although some things are the same in P4 & P5, many techniques aren't backwards compatible. Oh, before I lose sight of your original message: I cast one vote for PDF format, everything in one neat package.

Okay I am going to jump in here pleading guilty to not having read every post in this thread, and may be going OT slightly. It seems at this point there is a 'domino effect' collapse of the Poser Kingdom, but at the same time a bright outlook for new beginnings and rebuilding. I am almost certain that these talented creators that are withdrawing their stores will continue someplace to offer their wares...creative talent cannot be stifled by 'conflicts of interest'. Many new sites are appearing and setting up stores offering better price structures in favor of the merchant. And Daz Studio may offer an alternative to Poser and in the process eliminate some of buggaboos over copyright issues. Only time will tell on these issues. At this point, regardless of ownership changes, Poser is going to have to make a dramatic comeback after the release of buggy version 5. At this point it seems this thread is on target...better to offer support, and encourage the merchants with alternate options, rather than berate the forces causing the problem.

They look pretty good for 'scratch' characters and would come in handy for secondary models to fill in comic scenes with established characters. Doesn't look like a progam I would buy unless the price was very reasonable.

Besides the Tenten characters be sure to pick up all the other Yamato girls that are still available...they are classics and will be collector's items once taken off the free boards. Thumbnail pics of all his models are found at Yamato's site. I believe that Cancan, Linlin, Nene, and Ranran are still available for Posette and earlier Vic models.

Catfish is good and is on my system, but another good one is VI Directory [free at www.visual-impact.net]. VID reads your archieve listings and allows you to make a print-out of the file names. The printout allows you space to make notes on the files and makes a very efficient index of folders/files on your harddrive or archieved CDs. As to keeping thumbnail files I used to use Thumbs+ but this is just added clutter to harddisk or archieve space. If I need to see graphically what a file contains I just do a look-see in P3dO Explorer.

I love the meter, but it should be a circle because instead of being at the low-end Legume should be at the point where it comes back around on topic. Although his presentation of ideas and feelings is not always subtle and might at times seem radical...he is usually on target and tells it like it is. [Must I add: IMHO?]

Do you know that if every person, or at least the majority, in the United States refused to pay income taxes there is nothing that could be done by the government? When in this lifetime do you ever remember getting enough people of the same accord boycotting to make a difference in anything?
