I agree with the two "A's" above Gun, this is a photomanipulated image, so it qualifies in the photo, 2D or mixed media...I've seen members post the same images in multiple galleries just to cover all bases, and it's interesting to see the varied feedback originating from differing perspectives...You can't put art in boxes! (Well I know Marcel DUCHAMP did, but you know what I mean..!) BTW Andrew your link is know up....! (Sorry about that chief!)

Look People, I've got T2!!! (You Know the cool Green One that had the middle cargo thing that dropped down) sitting on the top of my computer, and it doesn't seem to have made any difference in speed!..? But you're right Alpha, it must be a HUMONGOUS job managing the continual data flow/base at Renderosity. Hats Off to the Techs! And a round of applause clap clap clap

So do I win a prize? :-)> I guess because I have spent so many wonderful times of my life at the beach, admiring the amazing patterns that combination of water, sand and indeed seaweed can make just like in Marshall's image, that triggered some subconscious association...(and the fact that I'm bloody brilliant!) LOL folks! thanks Marshall!

And I thought it was just me (or my brain!) I have found the response time extremely slow in the last few days, at first I thought it was my modem, or my ISP, but I checked out other URL's and they seemed to come up fairly fast....Hmmm, are there still bugs to be ironed out? Didn't Renderosity just upgrade its server network? It feels very sluggish!

I resisted the urge to take it into Photoshop and desaturate it...just! I'm not sure, (love the image BTW) but is it the edge of the surf coming in on the beach? Probably way off mark, but I had to give it a shot!

Wouldn't you know it! PhrankPower's message and my own crossed...he got in there first, and now I think I'm going to have to eat my words! I really like what the image looks like now!!! Leave it/Don't leave it...what do I know? LOL! (It's nice to know there is ALWAYS something to learn!)

Oh God, here I go again, sounding like a sheep (Baaa!) I also agree with the good folks above. In some ways I like this even more than the gallery posting. It lives up to its title, having a lovely, soft-lit texture about it. I say leave it as is. :-)>

Of course you made it in there! LOL, whenever my Mother used to say "Great Minds Think Alike", Dad used to say "Fools Never Differ"! I'm going with Mum's interpretation! :-)>

Hey!!! Keith Moon as a Nun! Ringo Starr as Frank? What a classic! I have all of Frank's LP's on Vinyl, as well as CD, but the Vinyl one's are better for fetishing Cal Shenkel's Great Artwork! LOL! I know I've got the original 200 Motels poster somewhere as well...gee, I was sad when Frank died, never did get to see him or the Mothers in concert, (The last tour of Australia was in the 70's and I was only 15...) Ah well!

I just received a message from Russell Cook, letting me know that Photography has now been added as a genre option! (I can't complain about the speed of feedback at Renderosity!)

Happy New Year Star! I hope you are feeling better soon! (Garlic & Echinacea work well for me in those circumstances) Nice drawing BTW, it could have gone into the 2d Gallery December theme!

I just emailed the admin people re Photography not being in the genre options. All in all, VERY cool and GROOVEY though!

It does Andrew, and I hope you took no offense from my comments, after all they are only one man's opinion as well, but as you had brought up the issues concerning the parents, I (of course) had to open my big mouth too! Thanks for listening to my opinion, and thanks to Rork for starting another excellent thread of stimulating discussion! Peace and respect to all! :-)>
