How about posting a list of links in this forum and posting a message in the freestuff linking to the list inhere?

I am a bit of a detail hunter. I can spend hours working on getting a mole just right, or a fingernail. Mind set to zero, wandering off into the colorful world of pixels, a great stress relief. Usually I toss away the image, not satisfied with the result. When i look at renders with an artistic eye, I see a lot of great images. Im often amazed by the atmosphere people are able to create, the story theyre telling with a render. All perfectly done. And thats the whole problem: ever seen a a kid playing outside, dressed in crisp clear clothes? Sure, the first 10 minutes. Where are the grass stains on the knees, spatters of mud? Or scratches on the toes of their shoes? Give a kid a piece of chalk and I promise, they will get home chalked all over, dirty hands (of course, they need to wipe out mistakes in their pavement drawings), stains on their shirts (how else do they get their hands clean?), chalk all over their pants (crawling from one drawing to another). Hair in a mess (always get in the way bending over), dirty face (wiping away the hair, getting a bit sweaty of concentration). All in a matter of 15 to 30 minutes time. I miss realism in most renders, no individual, animal or building is flawless. This even goes for the finest designer clothes and the models who show them...

Save it as a text document, then rename the *.txt to *.cr again. Change the name of the file, though, NEVER overwrite the original unless you are absolutely sure your modifications work....

Its a nice looking face, but your texture (as lots of others) lacks real life features. No single person has a smooth even face, not without a big layer of makeup anyway. Little cracks here and there (even kids have those), occasional mol, pimples, tiny scars. This is my way of looking at things, though, it all depends on what YOU want to do with the texture...

Did you save it as a DOS-text document? I dont know anything about PPP, but it seems to me you saved it in wordpad format instead of plain text.

She looks quite nice. I wont tell you what to do with her, thats up to you. I can tell you, though, what kinda criteria I use when I consider buying a character. - Individuality, at least her facial features must look quite unique. Doesnt matter if its a supermodel or an ugly B***h. - Quality of the textures. There are so many textures around that one gets quite spoiled. To me body features become more important: scars, freckles, natures mistakes. - Ease of use in setting up a scene, meaning MAT and stance poses. Just take a look at the bestsellers list and decide for yourself if you can live upto those expectations. I sure couldnt, so I buy a lot of stuff and admire other peoples work. Does this help? I see your point alright, would be a pity though not to use a 3D editor and mess around with the head mesh and and at least try to give her those specific facial characteristics that makes her Alyssa. BTW, if youve only got V1, upgrading to V2 is well worth your money. Lotsa new morphs that make life in Poserworld much easier.

Windows is probably unable to extend its virtual memory which gets swapped to disk. If you split your HD make sure theres enough space on the disk where the swapfile resides. My own system is big enough, but sometimes I forget that my system disk is a bit small resulting in the same problem you have....

Why not take a digital camera (maybe borrow) and step into the forrest, or whatever scene you need and take loads of pics, picturing your character in the scene.

SHes a warrior, so obviously she wont be carrying a big bag of stuff (impractical in fighting). How about a kerchief in her bra, given by a tearful sister? The pinky ring of her love? Dad, a big oldtime warrior himself, would have given her his favourite dagger, her kid brother a tiny wooden boat, made by himself to help her cross dangerous lakes. Its all in the mind... Maxx

Or the item you downloaded is meant for a figure you have to own. E.g. download some texture for the DAZs Fantasy Wrap. Got to buy the wrap first from DAZ....
