In the interest of keeping up with the Xenopon's -- Hey! Heart of Darknss wasn't boring. It was REALLY BORING. The Fountainhead was much better... Never give a sucker an even break: Compound fractures are much more fun...

Thread: Poser 5, Flash Animation, Colors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
um, a good number is 4. Anything beyond 8 will pretty much stretch render time out into the days long point as the system has to completely recomupte the colors for each pass of each image each frame. Once did a 3 minute 256 color flash anim that took four weeks to render. Never rendered to flash format after that uless doing silhouettes (which is what it was originally intended for) or actually working entirely int he 8 color range (for cartoons). IT's not a realsitic tool for rendering animations to flash that look like "real" stuff -- for that it's much better to render to avi and then recomposite in Flash itself, and that will also produce a smaller file size.

Thread: Judy Eye Transformations ... Question about centers | Forum: Poser Technical
Not that I'm aware of -- and I've tried to do so several times in essence, though not specifically with the eye. You may be able to adjust the jp of the morph, however, now that I think about it, as there is JP information saved in with the deltas. But I really have no clue how you'd go about it. That would require the serious eggheads. I'm only a semi-serious egghead.
Thread: Judy Eye Transformations ... Question about centers | Forum: Poser Technical
I'm fairly certain the morphs have altered the Joint params of the default eyes, or it could be that when they are applied, the new geom throws the JP's off kileter. It's done that to me before, and Garreee had that issue pretty heavily witht he morph set he created for the DAZ pixie. I believe he worked most of it out by adapting the JP via Pose files.

Thread: Two questions about poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In Poser five, to apply the same shader to all elements of a figure, right click on the Poser surface and select all, then right click again and apply to all, then click ok. NOT recommended for doing with people. Although MAT files are very easy to use, in P5, ANY shader on a figure (that is, anything set up as materials in the material room) can be saved to the materials library. YOu can apply any shader you create to any surface in poser 5. To change the mouse textures, double click on the texture name in the node that holds the texture you wish to change, (usually image map) and then navigate to the texture you wish to use.

Thread: UV Mapper Pro vs. Ultimate Unwrapper | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My experience thus far has been that overall, UVM Pro is better than ultimate unwrap. But, equally so, both programs do much the same thing. UU has a relax function, however, which is extremey valuable. Me, I'm holding my breath on UVM3. (and cheating)
Thread: What's the latest on network rendering ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The add-on "soon" is likely going to be Poser 6, with no release date as yet, unless a third party company is still setting it up.
Thread: Bellydancer animation poses | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a set of belly dancer poses that you can tweak and assemble into an animated pose set available at PoserPros, I believe.
