The Christmas season is a wide ranging one that is typically centered around the 25th of December, but has many long traditions that stretch back hundreds (and thousands) of years.

Christmas typically begins with Advent, and, of late, many of the give aways you've seen by poser sites are associated with advent, which is the time leading up to Christmas.
