You can create figures from props with the hierarcy editor of Poser. 1) Load your prop, if your prop has many parts, there must be only one parent at the higher level, for example "BODY" is the higher level parent in human figures. 2) Go to the hierarcy editor and select the higher level prop. 3) At the lower side of the dialog click on "Create new figure" or something similar. 4) Now you have the same prop as figure cr2 saved 5) You have some work to be done before the figure is working ok, Poser changes some settings as the center of rotation of the parts and adds deformers to the joint. You can use the joint editor of Poser or manualy edit the cr2 with a text editor. For mechanical props you have to delete the twist, smooscale, joint, taper channels (deformers) and setup the origin at the right position. I don't know if you understood my short resume

Thread: Are you SURE it's unethical? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am going to complicate more the scenario: If you buy a software and this software has bugs, then you disassemble it and correct the bugs, so you have a bug-free version of the software?????? If CL or others have the right to put protection schemes to protect their interests, you also have the right to protect and defend your own interests. I all related threads most people defend the interest of the Companies with legal and ethical excuses, but you have forgotten that consumer has rights and laws also, maybe they are weak, but they exists, is the task of everyone to make these rights and laws stronger, unless you have a lot of stocks of these companies..........

Thread: Free Plants for Poser or Your Other 3D Applications | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a problem with exporting, exporting as obj or 3ds doesn't look good, the plants are fine if exported as dxf, but Poser doesn't convert correctly dxf meshes. So I created an utility that converts correctly dxf to obj and also create texture uv coordinates. My Alien Plant (Free stuff) was created with Plant Studio.

About // in C: I always used it for comments in C since the days of Turbo C 2.0 and it was C only not C++. I use Borland C compilers and don't like Microsoft C compilers.

Thread: Comments in Poser Files | Forum: Poser Technical
When I first tried to edit vertex data in props I used # for commenting old values as in obj files with bad results, so I tried // for comments and it worked. Poser structure is similar to C with Begin End blocks { } and in C # is used for preprocessor instructions (#define #include etc). People use # for comments in Poser file, but I think that Poser doesn't accept it as comment and treats the line starting with # as a sintaxis error, and depending where you put this comment Poser ignores this error without any damage and in other places this error causes harm to the data. Probably in the places where you put # without any problem you can use any other strange symbol @ $ % & ?, etc with the same result, maybe a comment without # (only text) will work also at this place.

// is C: one line comment and /* .... */ multiline comment. Try this { etc, etc, etc v 1.00 0.75 3.141592 v 0.00 0.00 0.00 # this comment will corrupt the mesh v 0.75 0.75 2.00 etc etc etc } And this { etc, etc, etc v 1.00 0.75 3.14159264 v 0.00 0.00 0.00 // this comment works fine v 0.75 0.75 2.00 etc etc etc }

Don't use # for comments, doesn't work in any place of the file, use instead // as in C.
