Thread: Mens clothing and hair in poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No need to thank me, Ron. You are the one to be thanked for providing this much-needed service. In the Poser arena, the "powers that be" would have men wearing the same couple outfits and hairstyles forever. While that pretty much describes me, it just doesn't get it in the normal world.

Thread: OT : free plug-in for Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro | Forum: Carrara
Actually, there are eight plugins included in the ZIP. Also a Word DOC file that addresses each one. Here's a short descrip from the DOC file: 1. Warper--can be used to distort any area of an image. 2. Beveler--creates a 3d raised effect within the selected area. 3. Drop Shadow--places a shadow around the inside edge of your selection. 4. Grey Area--converts a colour image into a greyscale image. 5. Shape cutter--generates shape patterns that are ideal for use with channels. 6. Lightning Maker--generates digital lightning forks on your images. 7. Halo--add a glowing halo to a selected area of your image. 8. Puddle Maker--creates realistic rippled water reflections. At 780k, I'd say it's worth the download.

Thread: NYPD Uniform for Michael | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thirteen years as a NY cop? Now I understand your name, Tired. Sorry, I can't help with the patch but have a question about the hat. It doesn't look to be the standard police 8-point hat. It looks more like the military's saucer cap, or a German SS officer's hat. Don't NYPD officers wear the 8-point hat?

Wow! I took Lynn up on her offer and emailed her a question about my order. She answered me within TWENTY MINUTES! Imagine getting that kind of service from Corel?
Thread: Materials list clear out? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As far as I know, the only way to clear that list is to exit Poser then launch it again. Save your scene first. When you reload it only the textures you're still using will be in the list.
Thread: Yep! Bryce 5 is on the market now, but... | Forum: Bryce
What Bryce 5 is offering isn't worth the upgrade price if you have B4. No improvement in render times--unless you're on a network; no true vegetation--just trees; no Poser import. I wonder, do you still have to know a bunch of secret key combinations to do certain things? I'm getting Vue 4. It has faster render times, true vegetation, and imports Poser scenes. I'll get the Bryce 5 upgrade when it shows up on eBay for $50.
Thread: Help!!! | Forum: Vue
Some of my words disappeared in the above post. I guess it's because I surrounded them in the Less Than and Greater Than signs. I meant to say: When scandisk starts on reboot, just hit the ESC key then hit ENTER when it asks if you want to skip it.
Thread: Help!!! | Forum: Vue
A slight aside: You don't have to sit through scandisk every time your computer shuts down irregularly. When scandisk starts on reboot, just hit the key then hit when it asks if you want to skip it. But you should periodically run it and defrag. Also do a search for *.tmp files to get rid of 'em.

Thanks all for your input. You've helped me decide (at least until something else comes up). Thanks again.
Thread: Realistic Poser 5 wishes... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would like to see models with better morphs on the face. Can you imagine a kid who can't stick his tongue out? Or a young girl who can't crinkle her nose? There's no forrowed brow for us older folk, either. Even Vic & Mike don't have some of these. Along those lines, I'd also like to see improvement in the ability to make morphs inside Poser. I find the Magnet and Wave tools to be cryptic and hard to use. Why do they need a three-piece magnet, anyway?
Thread: Complex Extrusions and Sweeps Continued | Forum: Carrara
When you cmnd-click on the beginning of the sweep line, I believe it should be cmnd+option-click. And make sure you click with the selection/move tool. The point should turn yellow. Then the sweep options should be available.
