Nope... it was done in 3D Studio Max 2.5. I would have used 3.1 at the time but didn't have some of the plugins I wanted to use that I had for 2.5.

Actually, that's not far off. I'm a HUGE Warhammer 40K and Fantasy hobbyist and have been making warhammer 3D models for a couple of years as tests for myself and just for fun. The base model for this guy (orc with pants and boots, no props) is being worked on for conversion to Poser 4, though I have little time to dedicate to that now. I am, however very interested in getting other people together to help share original models, convert each others meshes and generally just talk shop and work together in a closer setting than this forum... Anyway, i digress. Look for a small version of this bad boy to be offered through the free stuff soon with a LARGE (lot's of props, poses and so on) version to be in the marketplace.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to go back and rip some new versions. The act 1 preview that is up is really just in response to the demand we've had since our initial Flash trailer and Win Media was the quickest solution. Not to fear however, very soon the girls exploits will be provided in coices of Win Media, Real Video, and Quicktime. I'll post an update when these developments are finalized. Thanks for checking it out!

thanks for the comments folks.... I think i'll take your request to heart on the subject of the cape and provide both the one seen and a "non-perforated" version (it is just a trans-map anyway so no biggie there).... Most of the maps I'm using come from a Spawn model I completed a couple of years ago that never really felt quite right. The head is completely new, but the body is just a placeholder/guide for now. I'm planning on it being more of a leathery, colorless thing in the end... kind of a combination and outgrowth of the costume from the regular comic, the film and from the Hellspawn comic which has an incredible art style from Ashley Wood (one I find much more fitting the tone of the character but that's a discussion for another day...). Anyway... I also have an extremely detailed model of the Violator that is screaming to be Poser-ized so you can bet you'll start seeing his toothy head pop up as development continues.... (BTW: anyone interested in helping out with the setup and conversion of this guy into Poser can email me at lgarner@sixus1.com about it.. help would be appreciated as I have paying work to do and can't give as much time to these as I'd like) Thanks again folks...

Did that.. shin is a child of the thigh and so on... that's part of what makes this rather baffling... any other possiblities you can think of?

BTW: Bryce is notoriously slow... I have never had a productive render out of it for anything other than small jpegs to use as textures on obj terrain's output from there... I always take that kind of thing into Max (though you could take into RayDream/Carrera as well and still get faster results!)
