Yep dont want vista but if you have a pc with vista on it, partition hard drive and get either home or pro from ebay or wherever and install.
Use xp for your gaming and internet and as for dix 10 games the pc is dead as a games machine thank's to software houses demanding you upgrade to play next game.
Pro more stable than home as i use both and home is cack, and as for vista home premium it's a update of home and does not have all the security features of, vista buisness.
Vista will need an update by nov dec sp1 patch as vista has lot's fault's microsoft has to fix, plus the hacker's are having fun with it.
Now i tested 98 again and the last updates for it contain sabo code to corrupt 98 and make it unstable as checking with couple hackers they agreed, so you use 98 with so many updates keep it stable.
As from next year xp home will become more unstable forcing many home user's to vista up.
Let's hope the chinese goverment takes linux and makes it into a free full program that will run xp software, as i trust the chinese more than gates and american goverment team up.

The majority my stuff i render but do no post work, apart from clearing up any joints on figures that look stupid, as some positions they dont pose well.
Or clone out any fault's that come through the render as if every thing go ok you dont need do any post work.

If you got Xp in draw partiton hard drive and put XP back as microsoft wont be realeasing sp1 patch for vista till about nov dec this year, to repair the bug's in it, so dual boot.
After ya put Xp back on install program then when you boot in vista use the xp compatabilty mode.
It may work.

I use vue 6 esprite as well as poser 7 for renders and vue is superb, though have done some render's in carrara 5 pro on offer at daz3d till 2nd feb, it does some bloody fantastic render's.
So im using p7 v6e and c5 pro for me render's now.

Within 2 years you will have to upgrade as with 98 before microsoft realesed buger code in so many of last updates for 98 which made it so unstable.
So faulty code in updates for xp will be realesed forcing people to upgrade to vista, as already more people around world having xp problems, ever from the realese of i.e 7.
Talking to various hackers who agreed with me if you going to put vista on with xp, use xp only for your children to access internet, as when xp came out with a lot of it's spyware intact.
Millions of people around the world ended up with child pic's on thier system, lot's of pedo hacker's used xp spyware to get them on computer's.
So 1 chap i instaled 98 with full security so his children could access net while he and his wife used xp, put it this way thank's to gates and yank goverment having fun with xp.
Talking 1 policeman over here who was into catching pedo's he said they nabed 1 family's computer but found out they did not download the pic's it was a hacker who did it.
Why do you think microsoft were forced to close thier loopholes,, so thank's to bonzo bush wanting to spy on peep's computers vista has nice spyware built in.
FOR god's sake if you going to use a vista, xp combo machine do not do not do not let your children use vista to access internet, keep them with xp.

If you use 6 and 7 sketch either in colour or pencil can do some nice stuff not much, in 7 they have not fixed it and it still wont render any props using transparency.
You need find independant programers on net who do program's that can do comic affect's as the comerical programers not much cop.

I had the voucher last year just before went on holiday in states so took full v4, didnt notcice 17th daz letter may have deleted it.
But as i allready used 30% discount not fussed though imported a big scene into 3d basic and rendered fast, but nice all the deals out thier.

Well im sory but upgrading to an operating system that wont allow lot's programs to work means hopefully compatability work's.
After all when that great spyware XP came out and people being able to send you messages and closing your programs down, Vista is going to be 10 times worse, already between the drug gangs, bin laden and organised crime around the world.
The best hackers are ready and waiting to hack to hell to try and find the spyware code built into vista, and the patches ya gona need be hilarious, you must remember after the yank goverment tried force mcafee and norton to leave a back door open for CIA and Nsa.
People went mad when they found out and a friend still has 1 of the p3 chips that intel had left code in that allowed govt agencies to acces your comp, i was lucky i had a later p3.

I took account of what you said earlier and have working and another way, why im saying if they have left it out and it's not a bug why.
Its worked in 5 and 6 and they seem to forget something as thier are a lot of people out thier, who need be shown how to fix something.
I and another mate usualy fix peoples comp probs as 80% i can do to fix comp, or i have to show 1 freind how to do various bit's on his comp.
Software houses have to remember thier are peep's out thier who cant do fixes of thier program, as on old computers.
At our roleplay club years ago we had 1 handicap player, and 1 with epelepsy, he could use comp for little bit and had fav game.
Because of explosion's in game he could not play to long so 1 of our players brother hacked the game and modified explosion's so he could play game longer.
And for both those players i painted 2 warhamer armies for them to use as a favour, and software houses should realise they should take account of everyone who buy's a game or program.
But i look forward to 1st patch see what it does.

people with poser 4 who did characters to save filling up the pose folder used the camera folder, as thier is a hell of a lot of old characters and prop's need it.
P4 and 5 and 6 could texture say a coat from the camera folder but not 7, now as you say is that a bug or is it a case of not testing the program.
Or the usual thing of the software houses to realese then let the punters test, now what they should do is realese poser 4 and pro pack free so that people with poser 7.
Can do scenes in it and save then import into 7 as i use 5 and 6 to do a scene then import into 7 to use the morph tool then render.
But should be interesting to see whan patch comes out, as i have watched the bugs in action and a freebie poser 4 for 7 owners would be nice.
