What is it with these thicko stupid programmers. i purchased poser 11 update been using it a while now. now i have a message it has been activated to many times. you thicko dummies how can a purchased program be activated to many times on your comp. yea gods no wonder the Chinese hack american computers 7 days a week. WHY HAS MY PROGRAM BEEN BLOCKED TODAY YES WHY. EXPLAIN TO ME AMERICAN PROGRAMERS.

Because Poser has been bought by another company and they have provided an update that is required to change the licensing code.

So i have to uninstall poser 11 and install poser 12. So means have to find a download link and hope my runtimes are not wiped

This issue has been addressed many times in this forum over the last few weeks and a search before becoming aggressive and insulting might have been appropriate.

Poser was sold by Smith Micro, and they shut down the license serve. The new owners released an update for users of Poser 11, poser 11 Pro and poser pro Game Dev 2014. ( Click on the word update to get it )

the update is to poser 11.2 not poser 12, you can install over your old poser ( as with all program changes it is good practice to back up or protect your current install ( simply choose a different area to install the new runtime, or rename your current runtime if you are worried ) Backup your preferences ( ESPECIALLY if you are on a MAC ) so that you can copy them back once the install is finished.

The link is posersoftware.com. It won’t wipe your runtimes. Though you should have those backed up. You probably don’t even have to uninstall your current version. I just over wrote mine, but I had pro and you indicated regular. As you install, make sure you tell it to keep your p existing preferences. And even if you have non pro poser, you’ll be getting pro.

Although some say to overwrite I had some problems and had to go back and get rid of all my prior versions of Poser. After that it was fine.

That's really odd because I have Poser all the way back to P7 installed on my computer and PP11.2 runs just fine.

I never reinstalled P7 on this laptop back in the day, but I do have P9 still installed, and PP11.2 has no issues with it, so I have to agree, that is odd.

All well and good but as I was in the middle of a major relocation during the time period mentioned - and had no time to check and see if poser was working - now to see it is not what are my options before uninstalling and giving up the ghost completely? Mind I have had an active copy of poser going back to Poser 4 but..at this rate this might be the last hurrah...

@4369121 if you own poser 11, poser 11 pro or poser 2014 Game Dev, the new owners released an update ( Click on the word update to get it ) If you own an earlier version, nothing has changed and it will continue to run as norrmal.

i see i am not the on one with this issue.. So what do we do. What Smithmicro has a problem with the sale? because this is the first time this has ever happened.. Not even the era where the original Metacreation/ to whoever back then, and so forth. i never had this kind of issue.. Got this message last night..
