I don't know about PhotImpact but PaintShopPro 9 comes with a Seamless Tile function that lets you create tiling images from any image you have. There are also a few photoshop plugins that do this.

Thread: Creating MAT's that only change one aspect of the object? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven't tried yet..... But the way some of my MAT's are not working for Vicky3 I would guess either they don't work or that these MAT's (from DAZ) are not done in the same way as that suggested by LittleDragon. When I come round to it I'll let you know.

Thread: Changing the Display colours in P6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Didn't work...... I don't mean the background in the document window..... I'm talking about the background/foreground colours of the actual Windows themselves like in the Library window etc.

Thread: Off Topic question about DVDs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you want to be sure it will work author the DVD's in PAL format for the ones she wants to send overseas. I have a pretty new DVD player (Both external and Computer wise). The computer will play both PAL or NISC but my TV has to be set and so does my external DVD player if I want to play NISC (mine has a PAL/NISC switch). The main difference between the two is that PAL has more frames than NISC. Hence most NISC discs will work but they will play a lot faster (like watching in fast forward). The problem you might have with authoring in PAL is you might run out of room on a DVD-/+ R unless u are using Dual Layer. This is also the reason why most US DVD's come chocka block loaded with "Special Features" and PAL versions u get a smaller amount because we need the space for the extra frames.

Thread: Some quick questions about Poser 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had some difficulties with INJ's. The other problem I've had is with partial MAT's that don't seem to work in Poser 6. This often means like the MAT's I have to change lipstick or eye colour but nothing else don't work so I think you have to do it manually.

Maybe try Firefox with CP. Apparently this has fixed some of the problems. See the "At my wits end" thread.

I've only been using P6 for 2-3 weeks and I've already got a version conflict and file type headache! (Note : P6 is first version of Poser I have bought)

So..... Partial MAT's are possible in P6? But in a different format? I'm wondering cos I have some MAT's that change the lipstick or nail colour on V3 that don't work in P6 :( . Not to mention the eye colour ones that only end up turning the eye white.......

Well if you wait a year Win Vista will be here (or so they say, but you know MS...... :) ). I imagine this is probably why you might find that vendors are not updating their drivers just yet. On the hardware side 64 bit is a bit of problem. I do Microchip programming at Uni and 64 bit is cool, a long as you can kep it cool! The 64 bit bus has a heat dissipation that is extremely close to the limits of an extractor fan. Though I think these problems have been mostly fixed.

Mozilla's the older version of Firefox. I use Netscape 8 though. It's a bit like having IE and Firefox in the one browser as netscape 8 lets you choose which engine to use to render pages. And you can render each page differently too.

Hmmmmm okay. Looks like my personal gripe is more of a public one :) . lol I'm a little reluctant to move things around too much. Part of the problem is about including absolute or relative file locations in MAT files. Since I'm only creating textures at this stage and MAT files to apply them I'd like them to work for the default location the merchant wants their products installed to. I imagine I will do a clean install eventually and only put the extra stuff in I like (bit of trial and error to get started!).
