I liked Elidor a lot! I like the fantasy scenes that transport you to another world and that is what elidor does for me.

I have the base package and the enhanced textures. I did a picture this weekend with a minor mod of the base textures. I'll have to post it . . . I then went out and bought the texture pack. My only minor gripe about the texture pack was that some of the "poses" that change the materials didn't work right. Some of the suit components came in as transparent so that I had to play with those to get to work . . . The textures themselves are pretty good - I really like the "Drow" Textures in the map pack. . .

I bought dragon factory at regular price -- $50 is a steal . . .I recommend it.

Thanks for the model! It looks like it should work out pretty good! I know about the survival thing since I was in work all day yesterday - I dislike 1 day weekends!

I'd be interested in something like that. Also, a nice set of basic textures would be good too! Price is hard to say . . . It would depend on the package's combination of versitility, quality, etc. For instance, if the set was versatile enough to recreate all of the Mech Warrior mechs -- well that would be worth a lot. If it was just variants on a standard man-shaped mech -- well I wouldn't pay nearly as much for that . . .

Thread: Bryce5 or Vue4? | Forum: Vue
Max-: Having used both Vue 3.4/4 and Bryce 4, I personally prefer the capabilities of Vue. In particular I find the Vue interface more intuitive. I think that the solid growth plants in VUE are simply awesome. The inclusion of direct Poser imports (albeit with a few bugs right now) and volumetrics rounded out the list of things that I thought VUE needed. However, I think that your particular needs should be what drive your decision as to which software to purchase. I think that it is pretty obvious that there have been many good renderings from both pieces of software. I think that software support is important too. Right now Vue 4 has a few teething problems (some glitches in Poser Imports). I fully expect these to be solved in a timely fashion and Vue 3.1 was always very stable on my machines & operating systems. (I've run it on pentium systems as well as athlon systems - on Win98SE and Win2000Pro). I would second the advice about trying one of the demo versions. If you like how things operate in the demo and the interface - go for VUE. If you find that you dislike the Vue interface or features (note Vue 4 has added volumetrics!) -- stick with the Bryce path. Good Luck with your decision; Allan

Thread: Anyone getting this? Vue quits with no warning (win2k) | Forum: Vue
I've never had problems with lockups of Vue under Win2k. I've run 3.1 under SP1 & SP2. I just got Vue 4 and so far have had no anomolies . . .
