I haven't seen your work, but I would say this. What matters is the final picture. It doesn't matter how much time you spent modelling or rendering, or whether you used "pure" Bryce or not. That's completely irrelevant. It's the artistic appeal of the result that counts.
Thread: In your opinion what is the most user-friendly, realistic female model out? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Vicky can be irritating when one does the actual rendering outside of Poser. Posette is easier to export. The way some of the head materials for Vicky are located on the body texture is very irritating. As a result I use mostly a mixture of Posette and Eve.
Thread: That Lighting Set | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't think there's any doubt that bebop's light set was not constructed independently. The evidence is convincing. However, I would have thought that the opinions of Curious Labs in the matter were worth taking into consideration. Lawyers or no lawyers, Poser is their business. They need to take IPR into very serious consideration. I don't think whoever wrote the copyright law ever knew about Poser, so a pragmatic approach is necessary. This is only my guess, since I have no contact with bebop, but I suspect that this act of distributing that light set was more of a protest against the idea that a light set should be copyrightable than any regard for the quality of that light set in particular. As I said in another thread, I wouldn't use that light set ever, I have no interest in it. But I am worried that someone will start claiming copyright on basic poses, and claim some of the arguments above as precedent.

Lovely picture, only spoilt by the lettering. Images should be signed discreetly, like any painting.
Thread: How can I import my poser 4 texture .psd format into bryce to I can render it? | Forum: Bryce
First - convert the .psd to tif or jpg or something. Never mind whether Bryce imports the texture file or not, once the model is in Bryce, select the bits that have a consistent texture and apply the bitmap in the materials editor the way you would with any bitmap texture/transparency. I actually don't bother with the textures in Poser, it's more effective to apply them in Bryce. Do get the Grouper processing program from www.castironflamingo.com - it will save you a lot of trouble!

Look at it also this way. I don't know the names and addesses of any of these sites. I've never seen one. I've never looked for one. If you gave me the address I wouldn't visit it. If I want something that's for sale, I'll buy it. I won't steal it. The people who will steal it probably wouldn't buy it anyway. So what have you really lost?

Dragonayerie crashed Explorer for me the first time, but loaded correctly the second. In designing successful web pages - KISS.
Thread: May's Bryce Forum Challenge Theme Announcement!!!!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
"A duel" on its own would be a good topic. 100% Bryce is fine for a subject close to Bryce's main capability. I don't think the combination is such a good idea. Duelling terrain objects? Duelling booleans? Good luck, folks!

I think some people are taking this all too seriously. We'll be having butterfly ballots next. Really, the current system works just fine; let's leave it. It's only for fun after all.
