Subject: Odd thing when switching IK on/off

I'm not sure whether this happened in earlier versions, but in Poser 6, if you change the IK settings, Poser very firmly switches the Parameter Window to show Properties instead. It's as though it wants to hide the fact that it is changing some of the parameter settings.

It does it to me too. I just ignore it and go on with what I was doing. Figured it was just another bug. David

Ive also noticed it does this, becomes a little annoying, if youre trying a create a set poses... P3,P4+PP never did this, although I dont know about 5, as Ive never used it...

It may be to force a refresh of the parameters window.

I haven't noticed it happening in 5 so I am tempted to say it is a very definite 6 "bug"

maybe they'll fix it in 7. still no news on progress in testing the alpha version.

It happened in V5. In Windows.
AFAIK, it's all to do with the fact that Poser (the core of it ,that is) was written to be be "cross-platform" (PC & MAC).

The 2 systems use different "communication" methods regarding user interface.
On the PC, when you open up a menu, Poser seems to do all the usual things (as expected by a Windows user),  but interprets some of the messages differently. Windows doesn't realise this, and also interprets those mouse clicks. So Windows shifts context, and tells Poser that the context has changed...

I could give some specific examples/reasonings, but I've learned to sigh live with it and so I won't

Cheers,
Diolma
