I think it's a good concept, myself- to take a 2d image, and build a 3d "frame" for it. Interesting. I may just do one myself.

If it were me, I'd make color 2 a dark greenish gold, and give the frame a nice reflection and shine for depth. (Is the background color on the frame a true black? It looks like the specular is a bit strong, or maybe the roughness a bit high.)

If you decrease the texture on the frame by a factor of 10, it would give an interesting granitelike effect, I bet.
