Let's not overlook the distinction between erotic art and pornography. To dismiss everything on Renderotica as the latter is quite unjust.

Bryce will NOT load transmaps and bump maps automatically for the simple reason that Poser doesn't export them. If you peer into the .mtl file that Poser writes you will see that the transmap is not referenced. So either you have to hack the .mtl file some way or (much better) load the transmap and bump map separately in Bryce. You do NOT need to pass the model through UVmapper. Save yourself some time.

I would be very interested if you posted it to free stuff, and I always make my own textures anyway, so their absence would not be missed. I wouldn't buy it, because I'm often making my own anyway. I don't look gift horses in the mouth, but I don't buy what I don't need to. Light fittings (any sort) are nice and so are staircases. I second the requested for vaulting. Rats and the like can be added to taste by the user. Frankly, I soak up any sort of rooms I can find. Farm buildings and industrial settings would be nice.

In general (not specific to these two posts) I think a lot of the time characters are downloaded not to be used as they are, but to cannibalise bits of texture, morphs, etc. So people may use them, yet you won't see them as you expect.

Maybe the way it's phrased makes it look like a reward for criminals, but in effect it's not much different from the way that software houses often put out old versions cheaply or free. You can pick up any number of computer magazines with cover discs with free versions of old programs with a cheap upgrade to the new one. (Here's v3 free, upgrade to v4 for only $50, RRP $150!) Anyone who paid $150 for v4 might kick themselves and say "hey! I could have paid only $50 too!". But if you buy early you accept the risk that the price will go down. What CL are doing is just the same, except they are admitting that the free version to be upgraded might not have been acquired from the news stand.
