Whoa, hold it, time out. The link above takes you to patch 4.0.2.116 from 1/25/00 not update 7 This link takes you to Beta7 http://scarab.metacreations.com/poser/pdwn.htm
Thread: Ahhh! new patch sucks!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Could someone who has installed the latest patch see if you can properly open old saved P4 files (prior to any patch)that has a P4 female figure (e.g. Greta) wearing the running shoes. With patches 115, 116, and 116a when I read in old P4 files the running shoes fly off and cannot be properly reattached. Even if you delete the shoes and reload them they still won't work. This problem does not exist if you create the figure and attach the shoes post patch then save and open.

I've gone in and changed things. If what you say is true about that selection in my profile and I should have received email each time a NEW thread was started then I think there is a problem with that feature because I don't think I got an email each time a new thread was started. Anyway, thanks for the help
Thread: How's the latest beta patch? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The patch I installed last was 40_402_116 on 1/25 at 6:51. So far this is the only problem I've had. However, it seems major since I can't use anything I've done previously.

Even with the newer patch loaded I cannot open a previously saved P4 file (pre any patch)and have the tennis shoes conformed to the feet of a P4 female character. One shoe goes approximately in the middle of the back and the other covers her groin region. If I try to restore element or re conform the shoes nothing good happens. Anyone else confirm this?

If you're into the beta environment (problems, crashes, reinstalls etc.) for the thrill of the bleeding edge then get it. Otherwise wait.
Thread: That damned patch is here!!!!! | Forum: Community Center
I've had exactly the same problem. Except one shoe to the genitals and the other goes somewhere on her back. However, the problem only seemed present when I read in a previously saved .pz3. When I posed a new character it seemed to work correctly...come to think of it I never saved and reopened the new figure. I wonder what would happen?

I think it is one of the most outstanding features of this system. You might change Archive to Access old messages.

Boni - I don't think my problem is third party link related. I'm on the forum and am trying to access messages with images that are on the forum. Bloodsong - yes it is on only some messages that also contain images, although it does seem like most. JDK, JeffH, or Fur - do you need a listing of some of the messages I can't access?

As far as I know I have no special programs filtering my browser. What sort of programs might these be? I am using IE 5.00.2614.3500. How can I check on the status of HTTP_REFERER?

Does your method ultimately save resources (saved file size or internal memory) or make things work quicker?

Here's another way. You can save (normal save)the figure with clothes and in posed position in a .pz3. Then import the .pz3 using the import function. In this way you can save various figures and poses in separate files and then import them all in when you want to compose the whole scene.
Thread: New poll for the name this site contest | Forum: Community Center
Please reconsider and widen the field again and come up with a name that is Poser related for the part of this site that is Poser oriented. No one is going to be able to find this site based on any of those names. I can live with the ugly green, but 3dtribe??? renderosity????, 3dcreaters????? for a Poser site. Bleech!!!!
