Kelderek, That did it. Now I won't be able to sleep this weekend with that image stuck in my mind... LOL
Thread: Curious query | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, the wooden look of the original Poser 3 & 4 character's eyes bugged me too. That's why I'm redoing the geometry itself in Lightwave 7.5 at home. (The fact I'll be able be able to make morphs in Lightwave instead of Ray Dream is an added bonus... :D ) If you go & check out "Inside Lightwave 7" at your local bookstore, there's a section by modeler Stu Aitkins(sp?) on modelling a human female head from scratch including eyes with corneas. It's worth checking out for ideas... :D

Play with the putty tool on the new figs...make a couple of morphin' monsters... Try out the "convert Hier" tool & see if it does it's thing & brings in my custom figures... Hey CL, for the future: A nice, (desperately needed) book on custom figure building, importing & setup.... PLEEEEEZZZZZEEEEE????????!!! :D

If Max can export .obj files, you should be able to export your figs (once properly set up) in that format & bring 'em into Poser...Create a hierarchy file, set up joints, blah, blah, blah...& PRESTO! After a bunch of mind numbing work, you got a new Poser character.
At least, that's what I hear... ;)
I'm still trying to get the D@rn thing to convert the hierarchy file... );(
There may be others that have actually done this, who'd be able to give you more info on the ins & outs of this process...
Regarding the character...I like her!!
Thread: Features We'd Like to See in Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd like to have a THE DEFINITIVE, comprehensive step-by-step manual/book for us budding custom model creators on how to fully import & setup our character designs into the program. (Something like that new Lightwave Character Animation book)
I'd also like a plug-in or two for Lightwave, so I can make morph targets for the existing characters without the computer telling me that the point count is wrong. I would prefer to avoid using Ray Dream if I can...
